You fanned the flames of an idea at the beginning of this thread - thats how long its been planned.

I will come up with a brief with alot of the information but not at 1am🙂

I will have one to you by Sunday and if you like what you read, we can progress.

I would ask that people send me some ideas and characters if they have them.

Sorry...the above post was me thinking out loud, I tend to do that when I have an idea or a plan. I didn't mean that we decide all of the above instantly....it was more a to do list.

I'll try and think up some plot points and character profiles at work tomorrow (I won't be thinking about work...cuz that would never happen🙂)

I think we need to aim at about 24 episodes, just like a real season. It's enough time for a good character development of the new characters, and there would even be time for one, or two, relatively alone episodes, like Him in the real s7. If we do one episode per week, or week-and-a-half or so, that would give the writers enough time to discuss things and make the episode a nice whole episode.
About the writers, maybe we could do an audition thingy, and the people with the best ideas can get involved (that might leave me out since I have loads of ideas but I can never get them out of my head and on paper, or in this case, the screen. but hell, I've got the drawing job so I'm happy already ^^ although I would love to also get involved in the writing process. I've always missed a vampy Slayer in Buffy or AtS). I think it's important to have a couple of writers per episode, in case someone has a busy week or something. Also we can discuss things and thusly get the best result. Maybe on a "alternative s7" discussion thread? (closed for not writers or open) There we could also discuss the new characters so that everyone us up to date about them. The original characters is obviously also a problem, but looking at some of the fan fics here, them being engaging and realistic shouldn't be too much of a problem ^^

Oh my, I really like this idea! I've been trying to write something longer than two paragraphs for such a long time and with the deadliney stuff of this I think I might manage to. I need deadlines to do things 😛

Just a quick reply cuz I have to get to sleep...but I think we may need to open the time between eps a bit wider. I cannot see (myself anyway) having a truly decent fic done in one week. Not with the scope of this project...I wouldn't want to through just anything out, ya know?

While I agree that this should be viewed a little more long term as a project, thus more than just a week between posts, my plan would be to work out a brief for all the 'episodes' and dole them out to people at the beginning.

Say I suggest 6 episodes

I would do the first and fourth, Itsx the second and fifth and Kean Third and sixth.

If the brief and episode number are ALL given on the same ay than that would give people from the moment they got it until the day before posting to finish.

I would also recommend that there is a minimum of 2 weeks between posts so that gives the person who next posts 2 weeks to make minor changes for continuity and check with the lead writer (as this is my working idea, at the moment lets say thats me) to make sure everything is coolio.

IF its OK with people, we should aim for 8 writers, though not limit to that, as I think 24 'episodes' is a fair number which would be 3 each.

Again all just suggestions.

I think this is a really quite doable board project.

i kinda liked the first.
im not to sure but i beleive that there is a book about that a slayer being turned into vampire. not to sure but i think.

In terms of fanfic, which is essentially what most novels are as they aren't considered canon, there are probably a few Slayer-Vampires, but my issue is why didn't Joss tackle this obvious interesting plot?

Yes, working in twos would be a great way to bat ideas around too and also cover if someone is busy🙂

I would love to help to write them, but truth is I can't write fanfiction. I can help generate ideas altough 🙂 But how would do exchange of ideas? Sending messages work somewhat, but it is rather cumbersome for any larger group communication.

OK kiddiewinkles this idea is actually starting to take some shape.

I've already had some ideas put in the ring, some very interesting ones.
