Season 1-2 Buffy Theme or Season 3-7 Theme?

Which version of the Buffy theme song do you prefer?

The version used in season 1-2? Or the version used in season 3-7?

Honestly, I don't pay enough attention to it to notice a huge difference, but I really liked the scream thing lol, I was sad when it wasn't there any more.

Definitely 3-7

I mean, I do miss the original a little bit when Season 3 starts, but once I get used to it I remember how good it is.

The mixing is definitely a lot better, which is not surprising as the original theme was just a demo of a song that Nerf Herder hadn't finished yet.

The first two seasons had the version of the theme that was originally recorded by Nerf Herder as a demo. After S2 ended, they re-recorded it in order to make it sound more professional 🙂

I prefer s3-s7. It just sounds better tightened up & recorded in better quality. But I do have to say that I still like the s1-s2 version, it's very nostalgic.

I like the "doooonnnggggggggggg!" at the end of the season 3-7 theme. The season 1-2 theme doesn't sound as good without it.

However...

I miss the scream!!!

Which seasons was the 'bubbling green stuff' heard on? I am thinking it was just the first or first and second season. I like the scream as well.. But I like the later one I guess.

Something I noticed recently when watching Anne (Season 3, episode 1), is that the closing theme still uses the old theme. I can't remember whether this goes on for the rest of season 3 or not.
