Ok why do you like each episode in S1 and why. Wich one is your fav. What was the best part of each episode. (I'm really brood).

1.Welcome to the Hellmouth - classic first episode. We meet Angel. Good character set-up.

3.The Witch - This one was just ok...

4.Teacher's Pet - Peeweeeeh! Stinker alert!

6.The Pack - Like this eppy - evil Xander 😀

7.Angel - Great eppy - this one can speak for itself.

8.I, Robot -- You, Jane - never really cared about this eppy...but it does show a good side of Willow's vulnerability.

9.The Puppet Show - I love this eppy. Good twists, Sid the Dummy rocks....two thumbs up.

10.Nightmares - AWESOME episode. We learn alot about the characters by learning about their deepest fears - perfect to do in the first season.

12.Prophecy Girl - Awesome eppy - says alot about who Buffy is as a person and what she'll sacrafice/do to fullfill her calling.
 
Here are my favourites and why:

Never Kill a Boy on the First Date: Me being such a sucker for petty and jealous Angel, this became one of my favourite episodes in season 1. The scene with Owen, Cordelia, Buffy and Angel are just what dreams are made of :tongue05: So much potential :tongue05:

Angel - Come on? What isnt there to love? :kiss2: Classical B/A :tongue05:

The Pack - I love this episode. I just adored how Xander got all bad boy and so... :tongue05: "And guess who just got mean?" :kiss2: I luv my hyena Xander 😀

The Puppet Show - Hilarious episode, and I loved it 😀

Those are my clearest favourites 😀
 
1.Welcome to the Hellmouth
2.The Harvest: Like Jenny said, this was a classic season opener. We get a good look at the new characters and what their relationships could be.

3.The Witch: Not one of my favourite episodes.

4.Teacher's Pet: I only liked the first part in the Bronze when Angel shows up and at the end in The Bronze when Angel shows up 😉

5.Never Kill a Boy on the First Date: One of my fave episode of the season because we get to see Angel get jealous!!

7.Angel: This is my fave epiosde of the season. I love the ending, its so sad. I liked learning more about Angel and how Darla was the one who sired him. It was a really good episode. Not to mention Buffy moved from using normal stakes, to using a crossbow 😉
 
I didn't like all the episodes in the first season, so I'll just list why I did/didn't like them.

1.01 Welcome to the Hellmouth
It had it's ups and downs, parts of it were good, while some parts were somewhat boring. It had a great introduction to the characters, especially the Slayer and the mysterious Angel.

1.02 The Harvest
I didn't really like this one, I think it was sort of just dragged out as a continuation from Welcome to the Hellmouth, maybe it should've been included in Welcome to the Hellmouth, I don't know?

1.03 Witch
The first full episode I watched, the episode that got me hooked onto Buffy. I really liked it, I liked seeing the whole witch thing, the high school/cheerleader aspect, etc.

1.04 Teacher's Pet
I didn't really like this one, because I didn't like the plot. I didn't find it interesting.

1.05 Never Kill a Boy on the First Date
I liked this one, it was interesting seeing Buffy trying to save the world, while be on her date with Owen, and the advancement of the Master and the Annointed one was interesting as well.

1.06 The Pack
I loved this one! Hyena Xander was hilarious, and that was just about the only time we got to see him like that.

1.07 Angel
I loved this episode! One of my all time favorite episodes, ever! It had so much Bangel-ness going on, it was great! And finding out Angel was a vampire was even better, and finally, Darla was staked! She was utterly annoying in season one.

1.08 I Robot, You Jane
Couldn't stand this episode. The plot just was too messy for me.

1.09 The Puppet Show
It was a good funny episode, little Sid was just too evil, LOL.

1.10 Nightmares
I loved this episode, seeing everyone's nightmares coming true was interesting.

1.11 Out of Mind, Out of Sight
Loved this one too. I felt so bad for Marcie though.

1.12 Prophecy Girl
I loved this so much! This and Angel were probably my top favorites from season 1, this episode was just too great. So much drama, and the fight with the Master was great.

out of mind out of sight- cordy i thought was great in this (btw marcy in this is in the grudge isnt she as jennifer?)

Phophcy girl- xander safes buffy life and the master loses yes!
 
The Witch:I really loved this episode.It had a lot of funny parts like Buffy at her cheerleader try-outs acting all crazy and throwing that girl across the room.
Never Kill a Boy on the First Date :I loved the scene in the Bronze with Buffy,Angel,and Owen.It was a very good episode.
Angel:We get to learn abut Angel's past.An excellent episode.One of my favorites.
Puppet Show:I loved this one too.The talent show scenes were hilarious.
Nightmares:Another one of my all time favorites.Some of the nightmares were very funny while some were just creepy.
Out of Mind Out of Sight:I really liked this episode cause it gives us a little insight on Cordy.
Prophecy Girl:A great episode.I loved Buffy's fight with the Master and the Hellmouth demon.The ending with all the Scoobies going to party at the Bronze is one of my favorite scenes.
 
1.Welcome to the Hellmouth: Introduction of all the characters is the best thing in this episode.

2.The Harvest: Hearing the beginning of a long line of jokes: "Sunlight....{screaming}, which is in about nine hours moron"

3.The Witch: Buffy and the bloodstone spell... silly, 'drunk' Buffy.

4.Teacher's Pet: I did not really like this episode. Not one I can watch again.

5.Never Kill a Boy on the First Date: "If the apocalypse comes.. beep me"

6.The Pack: Not really a great episode in my opinion.

7.Angel: Interesting, because we get to see the beginning history of Angel

8.I, Robot -- You, Jane: Not really a great episode in my opinion

9.The Puppet Show: Syd the Dummy is great.

10.Nightmares: This episode has always intrigued me.... nightmares can come true.

11.Out of Mind, Out of Sight: Ha. Invisible Assassinators...

12.Prophecy Girl: Probably the best epsidoe of the season...with Buffy dying and all.
 
I just did my favs of the season...



1.Welcome to the Hellmouth: I loved it... I thought it was a great start to an obviously amazing series 😀

3.The Witch: I laughed so hard at Buffy "drunk"... "Shes a witchy, witch...".

5.Never Kill a Boy on the First Date: Yea, definately awesome... I loved how Owen was all into it, and she just had to let him go... Super mature... And it sort of solidified the threesome of Buffy, Willow & Xander...

7.Angel: A lot about Angel... Get to know him more... FINALLY!

9.The Puppet Show: The "credits" scene with them acting out the play... Classic... Willow runs... NICE!

10.Nightmares: I thought it was cool, watching the nightmares come true for everyone... Especially Cordelias....

11.Out of Mind, Out of Sight: Yea! I didn't watch this season until like... this year... so I had no idea about this... But Clea Duval! Love her!

12.Prophecy Girl: Best ep of the season... Definately... And go Xander!
 
I think the main reason I love Never Kill A Boy On The First Date is for that look Angel gives Owen when he meets him. It's very smug, and I love Angel when he makes a bit of a fool out of himself!

1. Welcome to the Hellmouth: My fav bit of this eppy is when Buffy and Angel meet up. Brief flirting also when Principle Flutie is talking to Buffy (always good). Fav Quote:
Buffy: Mr. Flutie...
Mr. Flutie: All the kids here are free to call me Bob.
Buffy: Bob...
Mr. Flutie: But they don't.

2. The Harvest: The final showdown between Buffy and Luke was great esp when she tricks him into thinking the sun has risen. Fav Quote:
Luke: You forget, metal can't hurt me.
Buffy: There's something you forgot about too. Sunrise.
Buffy: It's in about nine hours, moron.

3. The Witch I love the bit when Buffy is acting drunk. I burst out laughing when she threw that Cheerleader across the room. Fav Quote:
Xander: For I am Xander, King of Cretins. May all lesser cretins bow before me.

4. Teacher's Pet Xanders dream was quite cool, laughed at the bit where the Vamp caught the stake and just fell over. Fav Quote:
Willow: That must be Angel.
Xander: Well, he's buff! She never said anything about him being buff!
Willow: You think he's buff?
Xander: He's a very attractive man! How come that never came up?

5. Never Kill a Boy on the First Date When Buffy got mad when she thought the Vamp had killed Owen. Also when Giles locks himself in the Morgue. Fav Quote: Buffy: If the apocalypse comes, beep me.

6. The Pack Wasn't a big fan of this eppy, can't really think of my fav scene. Fav Quote:
Buffy: It's bad, isn't it.
Giles: It's devastating - he's turned into a sixteen-year-old boy. Of course, you'll have to kill him.

7. Angel I loved this episode, Angel and Buffy's first kiss, his explanation of why he is a good vampire and the last scene where they kiss and she leaves a mark on his chest from the cross he gave her. Fav Quote:
Buffy: Cool! Crossbow! Check out these babies - goodbye stake, hello flying fatality!

8. I Robot, You Jane Laughed when Xander and Buffy are discussing who Malcom is "He's probably a circus freak". Fav Quote:
Giles: I'm, I'm just gonna stay and clean up a little. I'll, uh, I'll be back in the middle ages.
Ms. Calendar: Did you ever leave?

9. The Puppet Show Loved how Giles got rid of Cordelia by staring at her hair, the gangs show of Odiepus and Sid. Fav Quote:
Cordelia: All I can think is, it coulda been me!
Xander: We can dream.

10. Nightmares Where Giles got lost in the stacks and Cordy's nightmare of becoming a Chessclub geek. Fav Quote:
Buffy: Scary. But there are a lot scarier things out there than you... and I'm one of them.

11. Out of Mind, Out of Sight I thought Cordelia's speech when she won May Queen was funny, also the fight at the end between Buffy and Marci was cool where Buffy focused and then wham! Fav Quote:
Giles: You know, I... I don't recall ever seeing you here before.
Cordelia: Oh, no, I have a life.

12. Prophecy Girl This is my favourite favourite episode of the season. Loved the opening scene with the fight in slow mo. When Buffy knocks Giles out, when Xander goes to Angel to find Buffy, Cordelia driving in the school to the library, and everything after Xander brings Buffy back to life. Also when everyone comments of her dress. Fav Quote:
Buffy: I may be dead, but I'm still pretty
 
1.01 Welcome to the Hellmouth
Loved it! A great series opener. It was great that it ended with a cliffhanger.

1.02 The Harvest
This one rocked too!

1.03 Witch
Hmmm, If I was rating I would give this episode 7/10. It was quite good, but It's not my fave.

1.04 Teacher's Pet
Aaaaggggh! Don't even mention that hideous eppy!

1.05 Never Kill a Boy on the First Date
I have this on DVD, but I can't even remember it all that well, so I can't have liked it that much, lol.

1.06 The Pack
Again, I have this on DVD, but I can't even remember it.

1.07 Angel
Oooooh, this was sooo great! Angel goodness. *drools*

1.08 I Robot, You Jane
Hmmm....5/10. Parts of it were okay, but definatley not up to standard.

1.09 The Puppet Show
Do you know, I actually quite liked this eppy! Some great humor in it.

1.10 Nightmares
I agree with what Jenny said. We learnt alot about the characters in this episode and it was perfect for the first season! Loved it.

1.11 Out of Mind, Out of Sight
Hmmm, about 8/10. Quite liked it, certainly wasn't bad, but not the best.

1.12 Prophecy Girl
11/10!!! Oh, erm can't do that, so 10/10, lol. Drama, emotion..great finale. Also, I loved Sarah's emotional scene when she found out she was going to die. It was such a relistic reaction on the writers part, and great acting on Sarah's.
 
Well, season one has a lot of room for improvement, but it did provide us with the basic storyline that we would all come to love!

My favorite epps:

1. Welcome to the Hellmouth/Harvest: Introduction of the core four. This is where it all started and that is majorly important.

2. Angel: The beginning of what everyone would come to love (or hate) as Bangel

3. Prophecy Girl: Amazing. Watching Buffy first react childishly to her role, and then quickly take it back again when she realizes that it is important.
 
Okay, I'm jumping right in. Good topic, BTW. You may be bored, but it's fun to review!

2.The Harvest--Seems like it's already been said a couple times at least, but these two, together, were a great set-up for the series as a whole. Giles' introduction was great, Buffy hanging with Cordy (albeit brief) was funny--you just got the sense right off that Buffy was not one of Cordy's acolytes.

3.The Witch--I enjoyed this one. Especially in retrosepect. I mean--Amy the Rat! Love that rodent...

4.Teacher's Pet--this one and The Pack I like, if only for their resonance through the rest of the series. This is one my wife missed, so she never gets the comments about the mantis. 🙂

5.Never Kill a Boy on the First Date--Eh. Decent.

6.The Pack--see "Teacher's Pet" 🙂

7.Angel--good grief, everyone knows this is a great episode.

8.I, Robot -- You, Jane--argh.

9.The Puppet Show--eh...though it did twist a bit at the end, which I liked.

10.Nightmares--I don't remember this one. Have to re-watch S1...no problem there! 🙂

11.Out of Mind, Out of Sight--One of my favorites of the whole series so far (I'm only just starting S5...). I love that there's this secret service program where these invisible kids get trained...I only wish Joss would follow up on that premise. Scary!

12.Prophecy Girl--well, it's perfect to set up Buffy's dedication. And we see her come full circle in this episode. 11 episodes earlier, she was dodging the Tweed to deny her fate. Here, she knows who she is. Plus, had she not died, we wouldn't have Kendra. Or Faith. And all the fun times with the latter...

.Never Kill a Boy on the First Date - I liked the Scooby dynamics and the title.

.Angel - One of my favorites. So much history was made in this episode. So much of the future was made in this episode.

.Nightmares - Really awesome premise and we got to see learn more about the characters.

.Prophecy Girl - The suspense of it was powerful. So was Sarah's performance.

1.Welcome to the Hellmouth- The first time Buffy talks to Willow while she was eating and then Xander and Jesse join them

2.The Harvest- At the end when she is fighting Luke she tells him it is sunrise. I love when she stakes him says "It's in about 9 hours moron."

3.The Witch- When Willow runs into the science room at the end with the ax yelling "Where is she!"

4.Teacher's Pet- Can't really think of anything...

5.Never Kill a Boy on the First Date- Love the part when Willow and Buffy are trying to explain to Giles while it is important that she go on the date. "Cute guy, teenager, post pubesent fantasies."

6.The Pack- ????????


7.Angel - When they kiss at the end and you see the cross burned into his chest

8.I, Robot -- You, Jane- When Giles, Xander, and Buffy are trying to figure out how to get Molock out of the computer and Xander says "You release Molock" Buffy says "Way to go!"

9.The Puppet Show- The end during the credits when Xander, Willow, and Buffy are doing Odeipus.

10.Nightmares- When Xander punches the clown

11.Out of Mind, Out of Sight- When Cordelia asks for Buffy's help and she says that she was hoping that Buffy was in a gang.

12.Prophecy Girl- When Buffy over hears Angel and Giles talking about it was set for her to die. That monolgue tears my heart everytime.

10.Nightmares- I loved this episode as it was funny(Willow singing!) and Buffy as a vampire!
11.Out of Mind, Out of Sight- I loved this episode mainly because of what you learned about Cordelia.'You can be surrounded by people and still be lonely' I thought this made Cordelia a better character.
 
My favorite eps:

Pilot/The Harvest: Great start to a series! Very good, a little gothic feeling, (in the literary and mood sense)...I just loved it.

The Witch: Eh, I like stories about witches.

NKABOTFD: Just really entertaining.

Nightmares: I didn't like it the first time around but then I liked it. Quite a bit.

Prophecy Girl: Freakin sweet! I loved the whole thing, esp when Buffy and the gang are walking and the theme song is playing.

Five brilliant episodes... if only all shows were this good.
to the rep comment: Yeah I could see where people would find it 'corny', but I don't really care - the beauty of buffy is that it's ALWAYS corny but in a good and charming way.
