(I guess apart from the opener, I'm not a big fan of story arc stuff.)

"Witch" and "The puppet show" are my favorites from this season simply because of the twists in each one.
"Nightmares" has the quote "I don't hate spiders, they hate me"

I enjoyed all of the episodes really especially since this season is soooo old school....I love it....but those three are the ones I tend to watch over and over again.
 
I love the first season and I can't think of a bad word to say about any of the episodes. I never tire of watching them. Anyway, I guess my favourites would be:

The Witch: This is probably one of my Top 10 BtVS episodes. I like the Amy Madison character and it introduced the first "non-vampire" storyline. I really like the interaction between Buffy and her mom, one of the important themes of the show.

Never Kill A Boy On The First Date: This is my all-time favourite BtVS episode. In fact, I really like all five episodes written by Dean Bartali and Rob des Hotel. In some ways, this episode was the first major turning point in the show, and SMG's central performance is just fabulous.

The Puppet Show: It's such a weird and quirky episode. Everything is just slightly off-kilter and the twist on the claasic evil-dummy horror staple is inspired.

Nightmares: I must admit I don't watch this one as often as I used to, but I don't mind saying that the first time I saw it I cried after the scene of Buffy and her dad out on the school campus.

Prophecy Girl: Very few people would deny that this is one of the all-time classic BtVS episodes. The script is brilliant and everybody is on top form. I defy anyone to remain unmoved by the scene in the library when Buffy first overhears Giles and Angel talking about the prophecy. "I'm 16-years-old, I don't want to die," is gut-wrenching, but the bit that always gets me is when Buffy asks, "Will it hurt?" Once again, SMG gives a tremendous performance.

The Witch: A hyperactive Buffy doing a cheer routine...Gold.


Never Kill A Boy On The First Date: I really liked this episode because it emphasised Buffy's dream of a normal life. It also made me laugh lol.

Prophecy Girl: I think what made this episode for me was Buffy's speech about not wanting to die - very powerful. Certain scenes were a little cheesy though, such as the line, 'oh look, a bad guy'... I also enjoyed watching Cordelia bite a vampire.

3.The Witch- I love this episode, I love the witch storylines in Buffy, they are always really cool

9.The Puppet Show- I thought it was really interesting

10.Nightmares- Just plain cool!

12.Prophecy Girl- Brilliant Ending to the season, I love how when you where watching it and Buffy dieing and being revived seemed like nothing, yet it was such a huge part to the story, I mean it is the whole basis for season 7 arc! Oh and I love the bit where the credits played in the show, I thought it worked really well 🙂
 
1. WELCOME TO THE HELLMOUTH - awesome!!!! the start of the greatest show ever!!!

2. HARVEST - great way to show the start of the show with an apocolypse ( the earth is doomed)

3.THE WITCH - genius!!! loved it

4. TEACHERS PET - aww poor xander 🙂

5.NEVER KILL A BOY ON THE FIRST DATE - i loved this episode especially when willow and xander go up to buffy as a double date 😉

6. THE PACK - really good episode..just felt really bad for willow 🙁 but come on evil xander

7. ANGEL - the title speaks for it self 😉 ( angel is a hottie with a naughty body)

8.I ROBOT , YOU JANE - I like this episode i thought it was really good... plus we get to see giles and miss. calender working together.

9. THE PUPPET SHOW - AWESOME!! love the ending 🙂

10.NIGHTMARES- WOOHOO!!! plus buffy the vampire... i loved everyones fears it really fit with each character. Plua good way to start up for Restless in season 4

11.OUT OF MIND . OUT OF SIGHT- 🙂 (have a nice summer) great episode

12. PROPHECY GIRL- oh come do i really have to say anything awesome awesome and did i say awesome... i love it when xander buffy and angel walk to the master and the theme song is playing 🙂
