Season 2 - Lots of B/X-ness

I just started watching season 2 again, to prepare for the 3rd season coming out on dvd this week, and in the first 7 episodes, I've noticed a lot of buffy/xander-ness. Just little things. Ex: the sexy dance in When She Was Bad (although she was possessed), the closeness in Inca Mummy Girl and at times the somewhat jealous looks on buffy's face when ampata was with Xander, in Reptile Boy when buffy said she was "dawdling with her friends" she takes Xander's arm. It just seems like there's a lot of small inuendo that pointed towards something possibly happening between the two of them. I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed these things. I've seen this things, but never looked at it as hints for the future and 'till now, nothing has happened between them, but then agian in the long run he might be best for her!
 
Actually, those same eps hint at Xander/Willow ship too....The near kiss, Xander telling Buffy, "If something happens to Willow, I'll kill you." In Inca Mummy Girl, Xander wanted Ampata to take his life instead of Willow's. So I look at the beginning of season 2 as the writers sort of exploring the dynamics between the three scoobies. Frankly, I think there was more foreshadowing for a w/x thing than a b/x thing. Luckily, Willow got discovered by Mr. Wonderful instead, so I can't feel to bad for her never getting with Xander.

I'm torn between liking the idea of keeping the three main scoobs' friendship platonic and having Buffy and Xander hook up. This is the first season I think it would work though, and only if they played it out as Buffy slowly realizes she loves Xander, but Xander's a bit slow because he let go of the dream of he and Buffy long ago.
 
Willow meeting a guy, what mister Wonderful? ... Ow, wait you mean the guy she went gay over 😉

Anyway, the W/X thing was different and less special, I don't know what it is, but I do know I won't be able to express myself about this one!

BTW: What's platonic? We have the dutch word "platonisch" but I don't know what that means either!
 
Platonic means a non-romantic friendship. So, if you love someone in a platonic way, it means you love them, but not romantically.

*ahem* The guy didn't cause Willow to go gay (if he did, Willow's more stupid than I thought....and I will never understand the choice she made.) Don't cause trouble, Allycat! 😛
 
I liked in "Phases" when Buffy and Willow are in the school hallway talking about the trouble with boys. Willow is upset that she is throwing everything but the kitchen sink at Oz, but he isn't responding. Buffy then goes, "in the old days, it was easier. The guy punched the girl he liked on her arm, and dragged her back to his cave." Then, lo and behold, Xander comes walking up and punches Buffy on the arm. And then when the go to the funeral home to find out about Teresa, and she tells Buffy that she is Angel's gift to her. Buffy breaks down in Xander's arms, and they share a moment. She leaves and he goes "like I don' t have enough (women) problems." Or how about in BBB, when Buffy tries to seduce him in the library wearing nothing but a raincoat?
 
i think it's just that buffy and xander are really close buds...and naturally close...

who cares if xander don't get tail from buffy...if i had a choice between

cordelia
faith
and anya

or

buffy....???

logic commmmmmmmmmmmmands you take the three...personally...i'd take anyone of the three over buffy...
