A little bit of information from DVD Times about the season 4 Buffy DVD:


The BBFC have rated some of the extras that we can expect to see on Fox's upcoming release of Buffy Season 4. Details are as follows:


Featurette: Inside the music - 13:31

Featurette: Introducing Spike - 11:17

Featurette: Hush - 5:04

Outtakes - 2:30

Not the world's most exciting set of extras. Introducing Spike will likely be a load of clips of the character taken from various episodes, interspersed with an interview with James Marsters. Hush will probably be Joss Whedon talking about the episode of the same name, again with much of the content being made up from clips from said episode. The only one which looks of any real interest is Inside the music - hopefully this will include contributions from Christophe Beck and the various bands that have been featured on Buffy, rather than an absolutely-no-link-whatsoever Hepburn-style affair.

The rumours from last September suggested a 25 March release date for the Season 4 set, and certain e-tailers seem to agree with this. However, The R2 Project is stating that the set is due on 13 May - a rather large difference. We are still expecting this season to be released in widescreen - if it's not, Fox will incur the wrath of a large number of very upset Buffy fans. More information when we have it.

I'm confused cuz the season two DVDs are coming out in June so... I guess thats for a diff country... USA is kinda slow w/ DVDs.
 
yeah i bought the season one dvd and their was a leaflet inside saying that Season Two was coming out in June as well. Whats up with that? is it possible to order transatlantic?
 
Well let me tell you now people... the UK Season 2 DVDs were recalled because of a packaging and picture quality flaw.... season 4 is released near april time and the UK punters have yet to see a re-issue of the Season 2 set, so we here in the UK may well see the S2 set in June aswell 😀

That's not true. There's an interview somewhere either on zap2it.com or ew.com with Joss Whedon where he discusses DVDS and states that Buffy will always be in 4:3 letterbox format because it was first created that way and meant to be seen as a TV serial, whereas Angel has moved to widescreen because it's more cinematic.
 
wot was that about season 2 dvd sets being recalled Why?? anyway i have the original dvd set b4 it was recalled, ill probably buy the new one aswell. Does this mean that the original season 2 dvds are or will be quite rare. I hope season 4 dvd is released on march 25, the day after my birthday, if so i already know wot ill be getting for my birthday 🙂
 
I am right now wishing that I lived in the UK... USA only just came out with season one and season 2 i think is coming out in like may or june or something of that nature... thats not fair 🙁
 
Order your buffy stuff from Australia, we have it all, well most of it.
 
for all buffy fans of Australia Buffy season 4 will be released on DVD on Wednesday 5th June 2002

also usually they follow every 6 months so
season 5 will come out December 2002

season 6 will be released June 2003

Season 7 December 2003
