Review on Season 4: This season and Season 5 were tied for being 2nd to last place. This season having Angel, Wes, Fred, Lorne, Connor, Cordelia, and Gunn.
Pros: Faith, Angelus, Willow, Beast and Darla were in this season. The A.I team fighting the beast on top of the roof. The Beast and Faith fighting. Wes becoming darker. End of 3rd season, Lilah/Wes started off just a sexual relationship and then this season it turned to be something more. Whoever thought Lilah/Wes pairing off would be that interesting. Awesome. Lilah/Wes relationship was so much better than Fred and Gunn's boring and stale relationship any day. The last episode where Wes and Angel, both being unselfish, did something for another person. Wes tried to do something for Lilah but it didn't work out that way he wanted it to. Wes still loved Lilah and cared for her. Angel giving his son, Connor, a family that he always wanted.
Cons: Some episodes weren't that great. It felt slow and boring. Lilah being killed off. WHAT? That was a terrible idea. Another writers genius plan there. Killing off a great character. Has Fred and Gunn pairing off got any better from last season? The answer is NO. Their relationship is still boring and stale and they still have no chemistry. They should not have been together in the first place. They finally broken up this season but it took WAY WAY too long to end.
Cordelia and Connor (Angel's son): Toward at the end of 3rd season, Cordelia was out of character when she wanted nothing to do with Wesley. So, it wasn't shocking that this season she was out of character too. Her affection for Angel completely gone and she and Connor went forward in their relationship. Her relationship with Connor made a lot more sense than another couple that was done since season 3.
At the end of the season, the A.I. team have taken over Wolfram and Hart.
