Season 5 Slim Set?

Hey all,

New to Buffy.....been buying the dvds and loving it. I'm on the 3rd season and just ordered Season 4. In looking around for Season 5, I noticed on amazon, and other places, that they don't list a Season 5 slim set version (I am a little anal about by DVDs looking the same on the shelf). Is Season 5 available in a slim set or do I just need to have one fat set in the middle of my slims?

Are you referring to the smaller sets with the slide out cases or the sets that comes in a single DVD case? They don't mint the slim sets anymore to my knowledge but you can get one of the DVD case sets from Walmart. (Although TBH, I prefer the original fold out cases)

The ones with the slide out cases. I've been buying them used (using amazon's marketplace)....for about $10-$12 per season. I've had no trouble finding the other seasons in the slim sets, but I don't see season 5. I was wondering if they didn't make the slim sets for season 5.

The single DVD cases came out very shortly after the transition to slim sets so it is very possible they didn't mint a season 5 but I doubt it. Even when the DVD case sets came out, they released all 7 seasons at once. I just think the slim sets are rare and it may take you a while to find a season 5 one.

I bought my Season 5 a while ago from Best Buy and it was the fold out case, not the single DVD cases, which is what I'm assuming you're talking about.

I'm not sure if they still sell those types of boxes, and they sure as hell wouldn't be as cheap as Amazon. But looking around, I think that would be your best bet unless they just don't have Season 5 slim set anymore for some reason

Kind of upsetting Amazon doesn't have it... I bought my Season 1 slim set from there for only $8 😀

I own all seven seasons of Buffy in slim set. If you're looking for slim set specifically check Wal-Mart or Hastings--where I bought most of the seasons as you can find them new (kinda pricy) or used.

Thanks all. Found it used through an amazon marketplace seller (a little more than I wanted to spend....but Season 5 seems higher priced in general for some reason).

BTW....was getting a little worried that BtVS had jumped the shark while watching the beginning of Season 3. Then finally, "Lovers Walk" and "The Wish" restored my faith in the series (poor choice of words since I not a Faith fan...so far).
