Out of all 7 Seasons of Buffy yes it was the worst with only a few good episodes or one you have to watch.

Let me think

Buffy vs Dracula - this is a funny episode, plus it's Drac nuff said!
No Place Like Home - we find out what the deal is with Dawn
Fool for Love - great Spike episode with flashbacks and everything plus the chance to see Angelus, Darla, Spike and Drusilla together can't be missed
Into the Woods - Riley leaves yay
Crush - return of Drusilla, Spike admits his feelings to Buffy
The Body - Stunning episode with no music and with some of the most powerful performances by Buffy actors
The Gift - End of the Season, kind of essential if you want to understand Season 6, cool effects and touching scenes.

The rest are pretty missable, Checkpoint and Family are okay but are only really worth it for the last 5 minutes or so.
 
I think it was a good season, Riley buggered off for one. Plus the Tara and Willow relationship progressed, Joyce's death (was dramatic, im not saying it was good), the ending plus I liked Glory the hellgod.
 
Season 5 was the best season ever!

It may have been the best season, but certainly not the least, that's just impossible.
 
I can't call it the worst season. That dishonor would, IMO, have to go to Season 7. Season 5's right in the middle, better than 4, 1 and 7, but not as good as 3, 2 and 6.
 
I don't think seaon 5 is the worst season. Seaon 6 for me is the worst, it was a little too depressing.
 
Season 5 is my second favorite. Even if you don't like the episodes, you have to admit that the whole Key/Glory arc was great.
 
Season 5 is almost my favorite season, it almost ties with season 2 for me. My least fave is 4, it didn't engage me as much as other seasons

Here's the reason it's the best season.......

(ooh, poetry)

1. Glory is so powerful you just don't know how they'll ever get rid of her (you can simply blow up the mayor, use a spell on Adam....)

2. The Key! - the most brilliant idea perfectly executed. Eagle-eyed watchers had been waiting for 'little sis/little miss muffet' to put in an appearance since season 3....

3. Spike - his best season. So funny.

4. Riley departs! YAY!

The worst?? It's my favorite! I love Glory...and I loved the finale! Oh, and we can't forget about "The Body."
 
s5 was, imo, the 2nd worst season between s6 and s4 -obviously it's between s6 and 4 but i mean in ranking order!

i thought there were some really good eps (pretty much all the ones mentioned in the first post) but it wasn't my fave.

For all you s7-haters out there, i placed it 3rd in my ranking order- after s3 and 2!
