That's a very interesting essay. There were some good points in there, but I didn't agree with all of them.

It's very obvious what the thesis of this writer's essay is, and it is a very good thesis. Buffy is (or more correctly, was) a normal person, but yet she was given this gift; and in the end, she accepted her duty. She's the regular joe with superpowers. This, honestly, could have been anyone. However, we do not know if every person would give up their life for the duties required of the slayer; but we do know that Buffy did this and did it amazingly.
