I'd have liked to see:

1) Xander getting pissed at Cassie's father in Help and assuming he abused her because he's an alcoholic like Xander's father. You know, some Xander angst.

2) Xander and Spike interacting while Spike was living in his apartment. Xander's attitude toward Spike changed a great deal after that, but we were never shown how, I'd love to see how Spike staying with Xander helped making Xander more mellow about him.

3) Spike and Dawn having another scene. Their last scene was Dawn threatening to burn Spike in his sleep, which is so sad considering their friendship in the previous seasons.

4) Xander/Faith scene. It sucks that Xander is the only one who hadn't shared a scene with Faith where characters who never even talked to her before did, like Kennedy.

5) A scene in Touched that shows Xander, Willow, Dawn and Giles worried about Buffy and wondering if she was okay.

6) Buffy and her friends talking about what happened in Empty Places.

I would've liked to see Buffy talking to Xander/Willow about what happened back in Becoming after Willow says "I never said that" in Selfless.

I agree!! I think the first especially though.
I really like angsty Xander for some reason!

And when you think about it, why did Xander go with Buffy to meet Cassie's father when he wasn't going to say a word? Such a waste. Buffy should have gone herself, no need for Xander. It's also a touchier subject for Xander considering that his father was an alcoholic.

I would've liked to see that dealt with in S3, but it wouldn't hurt seeing them talk about it in S7. Even though it wouldn't be as dramatic and hurtful as if it were in S3.

More Faith interactions. Especially with Willow. I find their dynamic really interesting and I'd have liked to see more of it played out.

I agree. But I'm not sure there's time for that. Personally, I wish S7 was divided into two seasons. There's so much going on and no time to deal with everything.

I definitely agree with this statement. I'm in the minority that loves Seven 7, but I find it so frustrating at times that what seems like two seasons were shoved into one season.

I would have liked to have seen more background on The First, and also a five second conversation between Giles and someone. With Giles stating that the Turok Han coming out of the hell mouth will not be as strong as the first one 'born'. "The Turok Han will not be as strong as the one Buffy battled, but they will be stronger then the average vamp". Any kind of explanation would have done the job and made a lot more sense.

Character wise I would have liked to see more of Giles, and either a Giles/Buffy reunion... More then Buffy saying 'I really do'. I never really understood what their argument was about, or what warranted it. There was no reason for Joss to give them that issue.

I would have liked the scoobies to find out more about the fang gang LA going ons as well. Seemed a tad unrealistic for none of it to be bought up.

More Spike/Xander scenes would have been fantastic. I would have been happy to see an entire season dedicated to their relationship though, so maybe I'm on my own there!

Fred telling Willow about what's going on in LA. I wish we'd gotten to hear that. Or the immediate follow-up of Grave.

Any of the Buffy/Xander/Willow interaction. Because on screen it was basically Buffy & Spike, with the others thrown in to break it up a bit.

How dare you say you're on your own when I'm a member here? 😀

A whole season of Xander and Spike? Talk about perfection!

Haha of course you would happy to see an entire season of Spike and Xander! *slaps self*
I would have liked to have seen Xander come back and apologise or at least commiserate with Buffy at the end of Selfless. He was finally in her shoes and understood what it was like for her back in S2 and I think he really would have wanted to let her know that "he was a dope" and he is sorry he hurt her.

I'd want to see Buffy question Willow about going to LA and what it was about.

I want to see Faith tell Buffy what Angel's mind is like.

More Spike/Faith. I wish she had come to Sunnydale way earlier than she did.

And as everyone else has said, I'd want to see the events of Empty Places dealt with.

I'd have loved to see that. It would have been as great as the their scene in Seeing Red, which I love so much.

Me too. Given the interaction between them in S8 I pretty much regard this as happening because I really can't see it not happening. That episode was when Xander officially grew up.

While I don't see them as lovers (sorry, Spanders), I'd love to see them as partners. If The WB would have launched a show about Xander and Spike in the SPN mood, I'd be thrilled.

If they became lovers on TV, they'll lose their charm. I don't mind them as partners while snark at each other with million slashy subtext scenes. 😀

Of course, as a rabid supporter of the Spuffy relationship, I would have loved to see just what went on after the fade to black in "Chosen," whether Spike and Buffy tore the basement apart with their passion, made the angels (the REAL ones) weep at the gentle beauty of their love, or they just sat all night playing checkers and talking about the "bad old days" when life was so much simpler. ("See Spike, beat on Spike, watch Spike run away," and "See Buffy, try to bite Buffy, fail miserably and run away" respectively) Whatever they did, I want to KNOW, so that there could be no argument from anyone, regardless of which ship they support.

I would also have liked to see at least a brief scene, similar to what was done at the end of "Serenity," in which the survivors payed their final respects to the members of their team who made the ultimate sacrifice there in the hellmouth in order to keep the First Evil restrained.

I would like to have seen Giles and Wood apologize to Buffy for ever doubting her judgment of and faith in Spike, and acknowledge that their entire victory was due, in major portion, to him.

As has been said before, I would have liked to have had a scene where Dawn and Spike reconcile.

Likewise, I would have liked to have seen Buffy and Faith become true friends, the way that the Chosen Two should have been (I said FRIENDS, Fuffies, not lovers)

And last, but most certainly not least, I would have LOVED to see a scene where Buffy gives the Scoobies and everybody else there a very definite "My Way Or The Highway" ultimatum concerning their mutinous actions in "Empty Places."

I would have liked some reference to the whole Beljoxa's eye talk with Giles and Anya. Especially towards the end when Buffy is blamed and called reckless. I'm glad Buffy was brought back but she didn't ask to be. The first's rise to power, dead potentials, uber-vamps - Willow, Anya, Xander and Tara all played a part in that. And it's never mentioned again. It seemed like Anya and Giles didn't like what they heard so didn't talk about it. Shady. 😀

I agree. Xander and Willow's reactions to that info would have been interesting.

Would have made for some interesting scenes. How they would have reacted would have been interesting, not just those responsible for bringing her back but Buffy herself.

The only scene I feel was really needed was a scene between the gang when they acknowledged that Buffy had been right about the schyte, and that throwing her out had been a bad idea (assuming that they don't think she just got lucky). I would like it to be a talk, but maybe just a "look" between Giles, Buffy, Anya, Xander, Dawn & Willow.

I would like to have seen anything that didn't involve Spuffy, Andrew, or the potentials. In practice that would mean the interaction between the core four and maybe Faith. I'll even throw Dawn in there as one of Season 7's few redeeming virtues if to have made Dawn halfway non-annoying.
