Season 8: Ideas Thread

We need to have Buffy, Giles, Willow and Xander. They are the scoobies so it makes sense. So this leads to needed Dawn because Buffy's not going to abandon her and Kennedy at least for a bit.

I didn't say that. I didn't say that at all. What I said was, once a lot of people start contributing a lot of ideas, they each want to bring their favourite minor character with them, and that can be a problem.

Also as far as Kennedy goes. Wouldn't that depend on whether or not you decide to follow the story details as laid out on Angel. We expect a visit to LA from Willow don't we. Someone's going to have to read the spoilers. Perhaps Killow broke up. (Hey...I can dream, can't I?)
 
I was thinking that Kennedy, being the bitch that she is, feels left out in a group of three slayers. Faith would stick to the scoobies since Wood died on their way to whatever they are going. Kennedy leaves mid season. And that's the end of Killow
 
The polls will go live from tomorrow in Caritas. There will be one at a time and last only two days, otherwise we'll be here for weeks to come. If you have any suggestions for polls post them here. I have nine planned already.
 
Am I the only one that thinks we should dive into Faith's past? Maybe have a few flashbacks to Boston circa early-nineties? We just don't know much about her past. Maybe just an episode dealing with that, sorta like Double or Nothing in Angel. But it's just a suggestion.

And I agree with everyone's above comments. Sorry I couldn't get here sooner, life crap. Can't wait to start on all this. 😀
 
I don't think I posted here, but I rather have Faith instead of Spike. I agree with Rocket, a couple of flashbacks of Faith leading up to maybe a husband (she never told anyone she married under age), Father (abusive), or i dunno!
 
When me and Dario were working on the virtual season so long ago, we planned an episode where Andrew and Xander fight midget versions of the previous Big Bads. Safe to say that I was drunk and Dario was on something. And I'm not sure if that helps you guys whatsoever. Ooooh, but we did have an episode where Willow was trapped inside Tara's dead body, I think that was supposed to be the same ep as the midgets. Yeah, we kind of went all over the place. Don't get me started on the episode where Amy turns herself, Willow, Xander, Kennedy, Buffy and Dawn into toddlers leaving Andrew to baby sit them with hilarious results. None of this probably adds anything, just thought it would be funny to throw out.
 
Okay, I think the toddler idea is great!
That would be such a riot!
And you could have Lil Willow and Lil Amy making stuffed animals float and jump around and stuff....And Andrew could keep getting onto Xander for digging in his empty eye-socket...
 
Yeah, we were going to have Xander run around with a beach towel as a cape and call himself nighthawk. Didn't even think about him playing with his eye socket, that would be hilarious, although a bit morbid. The episode would've roughly been titled "Buffy Babies"

Again, these were just the more silly ideas. We did have mostly serious stuff, but I figured I would share some of the more random ones instead.
 
I love this idea! I think that its good every once in a while to have the more light hearted episodes that take the heat off the more dramatic ones. Or you'll just exhaust your viewers.
 
i think it would be a good idea to bring back some of the old characters but don't resurect any like anya, tara(as much as i love her), jonathan or warren (it's been done).
It would also be good to have all of the scoobs in a new (less hellmouthy) location it would make sense for it to be in england (london) so they can help rebuild the watcher's council but i don't think faith should be in it too much she should be out there rounding up potentials in the show she never stayed in the same place for too long so that would make sense.

There should also be some new main characters not potentials but maybe from the place they are all staying (if in england maybe some of giles friends or fiends children who are all knowing i ncertain mystical aspects of life)?

ok that last bit sounded a bit gay but......tra la laaaa
 
Here are my ideas just thrown out.

Faith should be a recurring character. Not a full time one.

The scoobies should be in one location (London).

Buffy, Giles, Willow, Aawn and Xander should be the main cast.

Kennedy leaves mid-season cause she doesn't feel like she fits in.

Angel and Spike pay a visit (end of season).

Angel gets Wolfram and Hart to get Xander a knew eye as a favour to Buffy.

The Powers That Be try to recruit Buffy now that Angel is at W&H. They send the ghost of Darla to try and recruit Buffy. Darla would rock because she is the one woman who knows the most about Angel and Spike (the tension between Darla and Buffy would be the same as Spike and Angel).

Giles gets money from the Watchers Council who are rebuilding.
 
Firstly the powers that be are still backing angel thats why they sent cordy back and gave angel the visions, secondly someone said the first is dead but that beljoxis eye thing said the first can not be fought, its bin around since the start of time and will go on after the end of time- so therefore the big bad would still be the first- i like the idea of cleveland as this was mentioned as being another hellmouth in both season three and seven.
The money needed to rebuild the watchers council could be given by angel cos hes loaded now, it even said his W&H is the no1. in the world.
I think it would be a good idea for the first to team up with W&H to destroy the slayers- this could be a reason for scoobies being sent off everywhere- cos there are W&H offices everywhere. maybe buffy went to italy cos she knew there was a W&H there and the reason andrew did not tell spike and angel the real reason for buffy going to italy is because he didnt trust them cos they worked for wolfram and heart. or it could be personnal- maybe angel dies and somehow cos him and buffy are soulmates he brings her soul to somekind of astral plane or he goes to her as a ghost temporarily and warns her that now he's gone and his destiny is gone cos he signed away the shanshu prophecy, she must now stop the apocalypse angel was meant to stop otherwise angels soul can never move on. the big bad could even be the black thorn group- if there are any survivors- although these are connected to W&H.
the last episode could be buffy and co going to the senior partners dimension and killing them- ellyria could also be brought into it maybe she survives, and she warns buffy instead of angel.
