Is the DVD motion comic any good? Haven't read the comic version (although I do have issues #1-20 of the on-going series from the late 90s). What is the voice acting like? Is there much in the way of actual motion / animation AND is it an improvement on seasons 4-7 (sorry for fans of this, each to their own, but I didn't enjoy them so much)? OH and no spoilers please...thanks guys 🙂

I don't really like the motion comic as I think the voices are terrible, I haven't finished watching it but I will soon I like it in a way that I don't need to sit and read I can just watch it but it annoys me that it isn't the full season 8 and the voices were nothing like them.

I saw the trailer - that was really bad. If it is supposed to entice me into buying, I'll pass. Bad voicing and animation with the kind of sprite graphics you could do on a Commodore 64 (for those of you who remember early 1980's computers). There are companies like Disney that set certain minimum standards for licensed products using their characters - obviously there are no standards here.

Wow guys, checked out the trailer link...looks really disappointing 🙁 BUT I might buy it if I can find it cheap enough...probably going to cost more to buy the comics right? But is it more enjoyable as a comic book read....????

I think it would work better as reading the comics as opposed to the motion comic. Yes, it will cost $70-90 for the whole season, but I really think it's worth it.

Well...whilst I was reading season 8, because I didn't have some issues from the season I decided to buy the motion comic instead of buying all the separate issues, this actually came cheaper than buying 19 single issues of season 8. My first opinion on it was how bad the voice actors were. To me it didn't even feel like they tried to search for people that can attempt to speak like Sarah Michelle Gellar and all the other characters. Personally, I think that the money I spent on it was a waste. I would of much preferred to have spent the little but more money on buying the single issues than watching this. However it is a good thing to have as it adds to your collection. If your thinking about buying it because you want to read season 8 I wouldn't buy it, but if you was to buy it to add to your collection, buy it! 🙂

I liked the motion comic. It wasn't the best thing ever but since I don't have time to read the comics, I was happy they decided to do the motion comic.

I agree with what most others have said here.

I watched the trailer for the motion comic and it was just terrible. The voice acting is awful, but I'm told that is how it is for most motion comics.

It's much better to read the comics. Currently, Amazon is offering the deluxe library editions which are big beautiful hardbound books for less than $20 each. However, the fourth one, which includes the last arc of season 8, does not come out until April of this year. That's okay with me, because by then I'll have the extra money to get them all. 🙂

I don't like the motion comics because they don't use the original actors. That just destroys it for me.
