Season 8, what do you not want to see.

Buffy and the others riding to the rescue of Angel and crew. it's been told so many times in fanfics, some amazngly well written (like Al's) and some not so great. i'd just like to see them make their own way out of it.

what else...Rona?
 
Character progression from previous seasons being ignored. Old problems being churned into 'new' stories. Dawn being whiney. Buffy being a bitch.
 
Riley... I will seriosuly shove a nuclear bomb up his butt if he even walked onto the page... even a mm. Bangel... please.. more SPUFFY... erm.. Anya and Tara *i really like the characters but they are dead.. so leave them be, same goes for Joyce etc* Connor.. and yeah thats about it
 
So many things should be explored.
For a start, Xander.
I like his character but he kinda became peripheral by the end.
I want to see him ditch the DIY and become something important to the 'fight'.
I know he is important, but of all the characters he was worthy of Watcher Training.
I would also like Dawn to have some development away from Buffy for a while.
I wanna see a truer exploration of where she is from, what energy still resides in her and what role she will have in the world.
Willow, I adore BUT I genuinely think as a character her role is fullfilled. I think she should 'do a Giles' and only do like 5-10 episodes(comics whatever) of the season. She should want to go and explore better ways to fight the good fight than being Buffy's sidekick.
Kennedy should go with her!!
Giles should have a similar role as season 6/7 and only be in 5-10 as he should be concentrating on helping the Chosen of the world.
Buffy, she should be the Xander character for alot of the season. Doing her part but focusing on a life. She should keep a couple of Slayers around her for personal training too.
An overall arc should be a back to basics theme. I want to see a Big Bad Vampire for Buffy the Vampire Slayer to fight.

Ohh and one year, just one, I don't want a romance of any kind for Buffy. No Bangel, Spuffy, Wuffy, Bufder or any other variation. I want her to realise that she doesn't need a romantic relationship, she just wants fun...kinda wanna see her do a Faith in the use and lose them way.

I agree. It will have that Whedonesque irony if now that she is finally technically free to withdraw from the slay game, and get a real life (which is what she always thought she wanted), she finds herself instead, getting more involved in the demon-fighting business at the expense of all else.
 
Kennedy. Arrrrrgh, I wish she would just be GONE.

I liked Riley, but I don't want him back! He needs to be happy, off in the sunset with Sam.
 
I dont want to see the comic book become to comicy. Even though Season8 is in comic book format, I want it to have the same ground of reality the show had and what Fray had to it.
 
Too many things i don't want..one that Lyri touched on, no Buffy and co comming to Angel's rescue just because i'd like to see them get out of it themselves to as someone put it sock it in the eye to them for the betrayal.

No Buffy the bitch i'm dating the immortal, i'd like to see her return to her season three self.

More Xander!
Less Kennedy, less Willow, it would b e good to see Buffy resolve the problems without magic for once.Less whiny Potentials please lol.
 
technically, they're whiny Slayers now...and chances are, we're gonna be seeing a lot of 'em,unfortunatly.
i agree about the more Xander-ness...it sorta became a back character during S7, i'd like to see him have a bigger part.

I dont wanna see too many potentials, i hope its more focused around the scoobies.. all these girls coming from all over the world completely opposes the show's message which was based more upon Buffy having to be the ONLY slayer..
I want no or little Kennedy. And as for Willow, (someone said thios before also) I think her story had been exploerd to it's limit, she can just be a background character.. that is unless she's undergone changes becoming a 'white which' and all, that'd be interesting.
I don't want any Spuffy, if theres gotta be romance, I hope it's Bangel... but hey there's gonna be neither, coz both of them were running W&H at the time.
Actually I don't want to see Spike at all, or hear of him 🙂
I don't wanna see Drusilla (I think her story is pretty much over too)..
I don't wanna see any dead characters return, except for CORDY and maybe Glory!!!!
and for some reason I dont want to see Oz, Riley, Sam, anything to do with the Initiative.. BORING
 
Seems to be a lot of aggrivated feelings towards a lot of the characters here, just waiting for someone to slip and say they don't want to see any Buffy =P

But yea, kinda seems like the willow arc is over, so not to much willow, the whiny new slayer we can all do without and as little angel cross overs as possible. No dead characters unless they come up with a really great way of getting them into the plot (and since we're talking Joss, that not at all impossible).

And oh, almost forgot, NO NO NO Harmony, plz! There are few things in the buffyverse i have little tolerence for, but one of them is her.
 
i dont wanna see anymore characters come back to life. its too obvious.

Less potentials aswell in fact I would prefer to get rid of them in some way and have be just buffy and faith again.

Also maybe explore dawn a bit more about the key stuff, that was forgotten to soon. I always feel a bit sorry for her as she is pushed out so much.
 
Yeah, seems like Dawn's keyness could play out in a zillion interesting ways. Maybe that's what they mean when the previews say she'll have "serious growing pains". Or, maybe she just gets a boyfriend or something...
