By the end of Season 8, what issues, besides the defeat of Twilight, would you like to see settled?

First off, I would like Buffy to find out about the goings on in LA, and, if there was any sort of conspiracy involved in keeping it from her, have the guilty parties at least answer for their actions, if not earn for themselves a severe a** kicking. (Faith should probably find out, too, seeing as how close she and Angel are. The two Slayers working together on this might even lead to my second item)

Secondly, I would like Buffy and Faith to develop a real friendship, something that they have never really been able to establish before.

And finally, I would like poor ol' Xander to get a little romance in his life, even if it's only a one night stand with Willow's half snake witch demon mentor or whatever she was (come to think of it, considering Xander's past relationships, she might be the perfect one hor him)

there are three main things i would like to see before the season ends

1. i would like to see dawn do something other thn transform into different magical beasts. yeah its fun and new for her but in the end it isn't doing anything for the her.

2. i would like to see one of the major people die, like buffy willow xander giles fath or dawn.... seeing its buffy comic i am sure she would live but i think a death would mix it up.

3. lastly i would like to see them leave things open for another buffy comic, maybe season 9.... who knows but i am on a whole enjoying the season 8 comics.... not as much as the angel comics but i would love to see more buffy.

I would like to see resolution on the does buffy know Spike is alive thing

I would like to see Spike

I would like to see Giles and Buffy patch up their relationship

I would like to see the number of slayers culled.

3. lastly i would like to see them leave things open for another buffy comic, maybe season 9.... who knows but i am on a whole enjoying the season 8 comics.... not as much as the angel comics but i would love to see more buffy.

I believe i read somewhere that season nine is already mapped out but it will not be as long as season 8 - that may have been on whendonesque but i can't seem to find the link... no wait, here it is:

Thanks for the link, great!
1 - I would like a Xander-Spike reunion.

2- Buffy and Giles patch things up.

3- Less dresses from Willow and new clothes for Xander.

4- Dawn's story to wrap up and have her a major player in the action. I suppose if the drama ended, Dawn will go back to college which is why Joss is still keeping her changing.

Dawn should move back to LA - once it escapes hell - Go to college, meet Connor and let fate take its course🙂

Yes i want that too x
Personally, I just want a good story that doesn't cater to any fans' wish lists. Particularly any of the established 'shipper factions, 'cause there's enough fanfiction for that...

Agreed, Joss hasn't steered us wrong so far, well Warren aside.
Umm... you know what? I only really have one item on my wish list:

1. A Giles/Buffy reunion. This rift is getting to be a little like the Lorelai/Rory rift on Gilmore Girls in that it is lasting for far too long and beginning to outlive its usefulness to the plot and character development.

This item, of course, has nothing at all whatsoever to do with any sort of Giles bias on my part. [/sarcasm]

EDIT: Oh, wait! I thought of a number 2:

2. Drusilla. I don't care whether it's in Buffy or Angel, but I wanna see some freakin' Dru. What the heck happened to her, anyway?

1. Giles/Buffy to get back to the Father/Daughter bond they developed... It doesn't have to be a happy ending, but at least an understanding and an inkling of the love they've shared.

2. Faith to grow up and step up into her own leadership role as a Slayer. IMO, she still comes off as the "I'm not Buffy" Slayer; and I think she just needs to be Faith. I think the last issue we saw with her could embark on this path. I hope they continue to follow this. She still has a ton of frustration in her from what occurred in season 3, and still doesn't feel "special" like Buffy, but she needs to understand she IS special, and should be comfortable in her own skin. The growth of Faith (I love that phrase in general) could be one of the most interesting aspects of the Slayerverse, but we've only seen a glimpse so far, really. Just my 2 cents.

3. I'd like to see Xander and Buffy have a real conversation about his lying and not telling her that Willow found a way to bring Angel back before she killed him.

4. I'm looking forward to a return of Oz, under control, and ready to contribute to the cause.

5. There seems to be a lot of Dawn-bashing on the buffy-boards.com domain and in the fan's world too... I never had a problem with her. I named my cat after her... I like Dawn, and would also like to see her more involved in the "meat and potatoes" of the show. We have been teased with bits and pieces of her potential (no pun intended), but she always ends up on the outside looking in. It is either frustrating to her fans, or an annoyance to her non-fans. Using my rationalization and bias, I think it kind of shows that Buffy had done a fair job of protecting her under the extreme circumstances, but it's time to get her involved. She has the ability to do something...

6. I want to see if they're going to fully answer my dying curiosity behind the "Tales" story in the "Tales of the Slayers". In Fray's city, there was a busted window-ceiling, bent metal and all, with a HUGE graphic of the Scythe in the middle of the floor, with a ransacked apartment containing ALL the knowledge of the Slayers. The monkey knew all about her, the Scythe, where the apartment was, and the whole 9 yards. Also, Gunther told her she had to do it, that she'd "get a kick" out of it. Who sent her on the mission? It was a short story, but it stirred up loads of curiosity for me, personally. If there's a story behind who lived there, why the ceiling was destroyed, why nobody who ransacked the place took the most valuable piece in the apartment, etc., etc., etc., then I'd LOVE to read about it.

1 - I want to see the immortal

2- Dawn having some sort of friendship x

3 -Xander meeting a nice lady x

4 - Lorne being in it just for my own amusement lol x

Season 9 (supposedly a short run) can polish off the details.
A few things I think I'd like to see (Season 8 is already mapped out). Basically a beginning to wrap up of the series.

Xander turned into a vamp. He's had such a hate on for them that this would be fitting. I know they're playing with this idea concerning Gunn but Xander is the one who truly needs it.

The end of Dawn. Ever since she came into the picture, Buffy has been less than she was. Perhaps it is the fact that Dawn was created from her that somehow sapped some of Buffy away making her incomplete. Dawn goes poof and Buffy gets back what she was missing in order to make Dawn in the first place.

The end of the slayer-brigade. I wasn't all that fond of the idea in the first place.

Willow really doesn't have many places left to go. Let her go out in a blaze of glory. Good or Evil makes no real difference.

Giles... well he needs that final measure of satisfaction regarding Angel and Spike. Would Buffy kill him for it?

When the series ends, it really has to be Faith who takes out Buffy. Anything less is robbing the history of these two characters.

It's a tragedy not a fairy tale.
Then let Buffy wake up in her sanitarium.

After reading the Dracula arc, I don't think Xander hates vampires that much anymore.

Wow. Kill everybody...? I say bring on the fairy tale...
I want Willow and Buffy to really talk, explain everything to each other, and patch things up once and for all.

I SO want Kennedy to die a horrible death, after Willow discovers Kennedy betrayed her in some way.

I want Xander to meet someone and fall in love with her/him (whaaat?)... AND NOT BECOME A WIDOW FIVE MINUTES AFTER.

I want Giles and Buffy to patch things up.

I want Dawn and Buffy to patch things up, and Dawn to become useful in some way, just like the rest of you said.

I want Faith and Buffy to trust each other again.

I want Buffy to end up with Angel at the end of S9. (Yes I've thought it through, I never was an admirer of Bangel nor Spuffy, but now it seems kinda obvious Bangel should be the end. But I don't wish to re-re-re-re-re-re-re-open the debate here =) )

To sum up, I want Buffy and her friends to be friends again, cos it really pains me to see them torn apart like in S4. (And I want Kennedy to die slowly and painfully. Bitca.)

Angel can have Buffy if Spike gets Faith, Illyria, and all of the Spikettes. And the mansion restored. And becomes the publisher of "Playspike" magazine.
1. Buffy/Giles reunion! I really miss their father/daughter dynamic.

2. Buffy finding out that Spike is alive. I really want to see her reaction.

3. Find out what happened to Willow between Chosen and season 8. How'd she get so much control over her powers? We know that she was astral travelling during season 5 of Angel, then Kennedy said something about a "six-month mystical walkabout," and, of course, there's the whole thing with Saga Visuki. I'd like to explore those things further.

4. More interaction between the original Scoobies. We're slowly beginning to see more of the Buffy-Xander-Willow dynamic, but their distance from each other still leaves a lot to be desired.

5. Dawn getting more involved in the story. So far, all she's done is sit around and mope about her wacky transformations. Okay, her complaints are sort of justified, but I still want to see her help out a little more like she did in season 7.

6. Find out what the hell happened to Dawn! This "thricewise" still is definitely starting to confuse me.

7. A new love interest for Xander that doesn't die right away!

8. The return of Drusilla. We never found out what happened to her after "Crush."

9. The return of Oz. Like Dru, we never found out what happened to him after he left. Plus, I'd love to see his reaction when he finds out Willow is all goddessy.

10. See the Immortal! I'm so very curious about him.

But still, my biggest wish is for them to bring Tara back. And if they killed off Kennedy in the process, well, that would just be an added bonus. I know it's completely unrealistic, and it would sort of lessen the impact of her death, but in my opinion, she and Willow had the best romance in the 'verse and I still can't bring myself to let them go. Like I said, it's unrealistic and improbable, but it's a WISH list, not a "guess what will happen" list.

Maybe Xander can hook up with Drusilla. He seems to constantly attract demon ladies, and he's never had a vampire yet, and it might help him understand Buffy and her two vamp guys.
I want to see the First Slayer again. I loved her appearances throughout S4-7.

I want Dawn to become a more active Scooby, bringing something to the table. Possibly set up another big event that reactivates her Keyness.

Giles to return to the fold.

Return of Dru.

And this is just in general:

I think Joss should do try to do a major cross-over between The Scoobies and The Fang Gang (whoever remains alive).

1: Buffy's reaction to finding out Spike is alive and not only that, he's palling around with Angel. That's the stuff of apocalypses right there.

2: Giles and Buffy to stop fighting and return to the strong relationship they had before.

3: Faith and Buffy to stop trying to stab and drown each other all the time, and instead try to get, I mean, work together.

4: What happened with the Sunnydale crater, aside from being searched by shadow government types for signs of mystical energy.

5: Willow and Kennedy... whatever the heck is going on with them, and the weird serpent lady/magicks, multiple question marks, exclamation point.

6: Dawn to shrink back to Dawn-size and go away. 🙂

I'm just reiterating the desire to see more Dru. I love Dru. I miss Dru. I want her to bring her crazy self back to... well, wherever our heroes happen to be currently... and wreak some freakin' havoc. I don't care what she does (as long as she remains crazy and non-dusty).

Okay, I DO care what she does. I think she'd make an awesome uber villain for team Angel. I want her to get her hooks into Connor -- and/or maybe Gunn. I want her to torture Spike and Angel a bit. Maybe she could revampify Daddy? Maybe Littlle Willy can try to save Gramps or whatever the heck Connor is to him? I want her to fight with Illyria over Illyria's pet (I can totally hear Dru saying something crazy about Spike being her bad dog first -- and then growling. lol.). Heck, now that Xander pals around with vampires, I think it might be kind of fun to have Dru hook up with Dracula and have that cause some tension between Xander and Drac. And if Dru wanted to try to make another Spike out of Xander.... I wouldn't complain. Also, if Dru were to kidnap her boys and hold them against their wills whilst attempting to recreate their fractured family, that could be both creepy and funny. In the end, I wouldn't mind a Sprusilla reunion, either, as I am madly in love with them as a couple. Not sure how that would work now that Spike's all soul having, but whatever. Never hurts to ask.

Basically, I have lots of fun ideas for Dru. I love Dru. Please, Joss, bring Dru back!
