Season 9 - return of an old nemesis (spoiler)

Who else is really excited to see what's happening with Wolfram and Hart? I really hope this ends up tying in with Angel and Faith (though I know this would be annoying for those who don't read both)
 
It's not really a surprise to me that Wolfram & Hart has returned. They were, after all about the only adversarial group on either series who managed to more or less survive more than a single season, they were more "irritated into leaving" than ever defeated, and only then, if I understood properly, their LA and Las Vegas bases. I am sort of surprised, though, that it would be Buffy, rather than Willow, who would be making the first contact with them. Considering the fact that Willow and W&H would both have a common interest in reestablishing magic in Buffy's universe, a temporary alliance between the two would have seemed a much more logical hook that a demon Facebook network. Even if Willow had no knowledge of them, they would certainly know about her, and would know that she would be fairly easy to manipulate. Then again, that might seem to be too similar to the Angel/Twilight connection from Season 8.

Very good point!

W&H appeared often in the IDW Angel comics so I'm not surprised that we'll see them again. Haven't most of us wanted to see Buffy confront W&H? I know I have.
 
I always thought that would be a cool cross-over. I'm not so up-to-date of lately, but I did think the WR&H could always have such in-depth back stories and tie-ins! I knew as far as televised story arcs go they wouldn't re-cross stories, but its cool to see the tie in now!
 
I also very much like the idea of having Wolfram and Hart and the Senior Partners and the potential Illyria connection as part of the series.

Interesting that The Conduit in the latest issue is what appears to be an eagle - is this the same bird that we saw riding on the Twilight Lion? Was an eagle one of the figures used in the panels for Angel's acceptance of The Plan sequence? Sorry, but I can't remember - hope someone can give me a refresher.
