Season 9 Wish List

Excuse me? Twilight dirty work is IN s8, the same season I was arguing against.

Try to kill Wesley? If he really had wanted to kill Wesley...well, why not trying later? No, he was acting for anger and sorrow. He had lost his son, now with his enemy. Didn't he have any reasons? He was so human in his despair and you despise him?

Wesley and the others freely chose W&H, see Gunn's arc.

Angel was well aware that Wesley hadn't handed Connor over to his enemy, the enemy slit his throat and took Connor, then Angel lashed out at him by trying to suffocate him with a pillow, he was stopped by others when he attacked Wesley, most people don't try to kill people when their children are kidnapped, generally its frowned upon, and I did sympathsize with Angel then. How can you argue that he didn't do his dirty work? Its exactly what he did, usually when you murder innocent people it can be qualified is a dirty work, he was Twilight's bitch all season, and literally when he was possessed. Its not like it was in season 2, that wasnt' his fault this time it is.

By the way, why Angel is supposed to pay for his action an not Cordelia or Spike, or Xander...? They all have been possessed by another entity.

Yes, Cordy, Spike, and Xander have been possessed by evil entities, but it was always against their will, never voluntarily. Angel, however, if we're to believe the sequence that begins with the talking dog, wasn't possessed, he was recruited. It doesn't matter what locic Twilight used to convince him, Angel joined Twilight OF HIS OWN FREE WILL. That's what makes the difference. He knew that his actions would bring about the death of every living thing on the planet, and he willingly did that just so he could play Adam to Buffy's Eve. Maybe at the end, it was Twilight in control of Angel's body, who killed Giles, but it was Angel all the way when it came to killing all of those Slayers, soldiers, and civilians. Those are the actions that Angel will be held responsible for.

Or, at least, he SHOULD be held responsible for his actions. However, I'm pretty sure that Giles was ultimately right. Buffy will never see Angel as any kind of real menace, even an unwilling one. She'll turn a blind eye to all of the harm that he has done, and she'll keep making excuses for him.

He knew that his actions would bring about the death of every living thing on the planet, and he willingly did that just so he could play Adam to Buffy's Eve

Do you really think he believed that? You are referring to his wanting he & Buffy to stay in the Twilight universe, right? It seemed that he truly believed that Buffy's friends would be OK without her. She disagreed of course.

OK, he didn't know about Holtz, but he did know his best friend had betrayed him and kidnapped his son: And he knew his son was in danger because out of the hotel many people wanted his son dead: His son was in a really serious danger: And ok , many people don't try to kill the kidnappers (perhaps because they don't know who they are) but it was only a scene to show his dispair. Otherwise why nobody accused him vehementlly (at least) and Wesley himself came back to work with Angel and to be his friend?

I don' argue about s8 because, for me, it is a mess, full of non sense ( vagina monster, Giant Dawn, ship full of bugs, AND ANGEL EXTREMLY OOC).

An official statement by Joss, sobered up from LSD rehab, saying "The comics aren't canon and never were, we just said that to up the sales."

AGREED
As much as I think the Dander relationship is interesting, I think a better ship would be with Connor. Both come from mystical backgrounds. Both were angsty teenagers. I think they would be a great fit and it would be interesting to see the Scooby Gang's reaction to Angel's son.

The bonus to the whole thing could be the return of magic to the world. I remember in the TV show they said Dawn had a great purpose, I always that that it was more than being the key. If she and Connor had a child her key energy (never stated that she ever lost it) could spark the rebirth of magic kind of like Wyatt did in Charmed.

Yay another Connor/Dawn-thinker:)

Ooh, that would be interesting! Although Dander has grown on me, I think I'd be willing to see it go if that would happen.

So I have to say that my wish list is also part and parcel with avoiding my greatest fear.

My wish is that Angel, Spike and the Fang Gang do not get wrapped up in Buffys plot and instead continue to battle their own demons. Angel and the boys have a lot of things going on and had a few more dates with WR&H before this whole thing wraps up.

If they get drawn into some Buffy melodrama instead of standing up against WR&H while trying to atone for their sins, then I will be sad.

* Hank and Buffy to reach some sort of closure.
* Xander and Willow mourning Giles.
* An arc about Xander The Person.
* Some form of magic still existing. Buffyverse without magic = impossible.
* More of Oz and Bay.
* Dawn being Watcher Junior.
* Maybe someone could have a kid? Not Dawn and Xander, though. Not yet.
* Spike being a Scooby again.
* Fred actually coming back instead of a disguise for Illyria.
* Don't kill Kennedy. Or Dawn. Or Angel. Or Riley. Or anyone people hate. Get the fans to love them like I love them. 🙂
* Anya, Tara, Doyle and Cordelia appearing in one form or another.
* Spike losing his bleach somehow so that Buffy could see him as a brunet.

I've just recently started re-reading Season 8 and gave it some thought, and here's my Wish List (just in case Joss is watching 😉):

- Some happy Dawn/Xander Moments:
After all that the two of them put up with in Season 8 (and after poor Xander's history with women), I think they deserve some happiness for a change. Now that they're a couple and living together, I'd like to see more of how their relationship is developing. Maybe some cute scenes where we get to see them dating (or better yet, a whole issue for the two of them) 🙂

- Some regular Spike Appearances:
I had forgotten how much his character brings to the show until those last few issues, his humour way a breath of fresh air! Even though I'd hate to see the series go Spuffy I did really enjoy seeing he and Buffy interact as friends in S7, and now Buffy could probably use some extra support. And he could help to bring the series back to a light-hearted place, just like Joss has alluded to for the upcoming season.

- The Story of Dana:
You know, the crazy slayer that Andrew and co. took away in "Damage" (ATS, S5). I've always wondered what happened to her, if she ever got well enough to join the team. I thought she had a remarkable episode/story written for her already and it'd be a shame for that to be a one-time character. So I would absoloutely love some news on her, or better yet an appearance!

-Some Hope for Bangel Fans:
For those who have read the last few issues of S8, I think that you can understand why! I hope before the season's out we have some hope glimmering fr their relationship!

-An explanation about
Giles
Will
:
I'm sure Joss won't leave this out, but I can't for the life of me imagine the reason for Faith getting the estate, etc... and it's driving me NUTS!! lol :silly:

I have a feeling he left something more behind: a note or explanation of some kind, but maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part. There was just so little (positive) interaction between he and Buffy last season that I'd hate for that to be the end of the two of them. Just one more chat from beyond the grave, or a note hidden in the VAMPYR book, or heck I'd settle for an appearance by Whistler to explain it all (lol).... in any case it's a loose end that I'd like to see tied up!

ITA with you about Dana! I've been wondering about her too.
I would like to see an issue or two surrounded around the afterlife, with Tara, Anya, Jenny, Doyle, Cordelia, Joyce, and everyone else. See how they all cope with each other up there and to see if they are happy. I'd like to see Anya a lot - since I don't recall her even being mentioned in the comics. I'd like to see Tara watching over her Willow, and all their reactions to there being no more...well you know.

I also want Angel to get staked/shoved in the sun/pelted with holy water or decapitated after what he did...or all at once =D

I want Tara back, but Kennedy is an issue. Unless Tara comes back, I don't want Kennedy dead (yet). Willow is happy with Kennedy right now, so unless Tara comes back and Willow runs back to Tara...Kennedy can consider these options with Tara around:
- Die
- Create a friendship or conflict with Tara
- Create a relationship with Faith or a different girl
- Possibly talk Willow-talk with Tara
- Just let Tara and Willow be happy and possibly vanish.

I wish a lot to happen in Season 9....

Since you don't need the actual actresses or actors to come back to personify these roles, bringing back these dead/gone characters is as easy as just drawing them. And with brining back Warren, and then other characters like Ethan, Riley, and Oz, I feel like it would be nice to have some interaction between some characters that died. I mean, heck, why not? We all know being dead in the Jossverse doesn't always mean you are dead.
