Okay I FINALLY got my Long Way Home Part IV and being only one the second page where Warren says "Her magic is my skin," it made me realize something. Warren never died, which means Willow never killed him. So if that's the case then how come the first was able to take on the form of Warren, as he was very much alive and well in Season Seven and even makes mention of being in on the whole "The Killer In Me," episode.

A reasonable point...I'll take the generous view that his heart must have stopped temporarily before Amy got to him but she was able to work her magick on him before there was any serious damage...like Xander reviving Buffy at the end of Season 1.

All I know is I want the Peeled Warren Action Figure. :D
Buffy's first "death" was enough to activate Kendra despite it being a very short amount of time involved, if you could even call it a death in the first place.

Perhaps Warren did "die" in a fashion, at least long enough for it to allow the First to take his form. I'd say the trauma of having your skin removed (even with Amy stepping in to save you) would be enough to merit serious heart difficulties. Maybe a few seconds is all it takes.

Or maybe Amy has lied to Warren about how she brought him back or how she "saved" him. Could be we still don't know everything about what Warren really is now.

You can always come up with some explanation for these types of things (oversights), but the obvious one is that Warren was originally killed off so the First was able to impersonate him, but then later Josh decided to bring Warren back and this happened... It doesn't all have to be consistent...

Yeah, it's called retcon, and not unknown in the Buffyverse.

retconning is fun! (also...it's joss ;) )
Also if Dawn isn't proportionally as strong as she is large how come she's able to smash the side of the castle and also cause earthquakes by jumping up and down? Shouldn't that not be possible? Granted her hand was bleeding when she hit the wall but she was still able to smash it.

Yeah that one was a puzzler. What was the purpose of that? I suspect it has something to do with some point Joss wants to make in the future.

Here's one for you now. Are you a Charmed fan? What I mean is are you coming out of Charmed fandom?

I don't mean it as a dis, but something that's always puzzled me in my years hanging around Buffy fansites is the way Charmed fans turn up at Buffy sites looking for goofs and continuity errors. Such errors do exist of course. If you go to Buffy trivia sites you can find sections devoted them.

What puzzles me though, is why are Charmed fans so obsessed with Buffy errors. As I look over your posting history, for example, that's all there is. What's the fascination? I gots to know for my own education.

I have this theory it's because Buffy has this rep of being a deeper, more involved, and tighter series, with more attention paid to continuity. I suspect there's something like a core, sub-conscious objection to that created on Charmed fandom sites. Is that it?

The peeled Warren action figure? Uh....gross! LOL!
Yeah I like Charmed but I'm more of a Buffy fan than a Charmed fan, but me I don't look for goofs but for some reason I always catch them not that I'm trying but I do and I HEAVILY criticize Charmed for their MANY goofs, which is part of the reason why I stopped liking the show because they had so many goofs that it was got downright stupid and not everything I post is pointing out a goof, but I'm not on any Charmed fan site I'm only one this site and Heroes forum

Edit:

I do on the heroes forum lol

Wanna get into the goof and errors in Heroes? :D
Don't get me started on the Heroes goofs. I'll be here all night! Although I do have to admit that many of the problems I had with the show initially were explained away when I discovered that the comics you can read online at the official site actually tell part of the canon story, even telling entire arcs that are mentioned on the show but never actually feature. They don't cover every issue I have with Heroes (and definitely don't excuse the crappy final episode) but they do answer a lot of things that didn't make any sense originally.

As for Charmed, that show was just one long plot-hole, with nice boobs. 😉

Well Warrens skin was destroyed so maybe thats why the First can use it?

And The Dawn thing, She hit the castle and it smashed because she is really big, but it still really hurt her - Thats what buffy ment.

Buffy was actually telling Dawn that she's not as strong as she is large basically meaning she has the same exact strength as regular sized Dawn, which if that's the case she shouldn't have even been able to smash the castle walls or even cause an earthquake by jumping up and down

BEG's got a point though. When Buffy tells Dawn her strength isn't proportionate to her size, she's most likely saying "you may tough, but you're not that tough". In other words, she's still going to hurt her hand. She's not invulnerable. I could see the writer wanting to establish that.

Personally though, I think if that's what Joss was trying to say, he should have said it with a little more care. It's confusing the way it appears.

um are we forgetting that willow burned warren into.. well nothing after ripping off his skin?? who knows what happened after that

yer thats what im saying, as in we don't know what happened, anything is possible - he might not have died... Is season 8 any good I haven't been able to find it anywhere
That's the error?!
Hello, people. Red hair. Dark Willow flash back. 😉
I swear she has red hair when it's meant to be black *goes back and checks*

Its not stated anywhere that she has the same strength as regular sized Dawn. It just states that she isnt as strong as she looks. Being that big would definitely enhance her strength from what it was before. And to make earthquakes, she doesnt need to be strong. Being that size would make her very, very heavy. If she jumped with all that weight, then she would cause the ground to shake.

I am sure I will get hell for this, however, I loved Charmed. Even I KNOW it's not anywhere near the caliber of Buffy however, I love it. Always will, cause the show litterally saved my sanity, when I hurt my back. I love continuity error Charmed, I love Prue Charmed, I love Paige Charmed, err...I am starting to sound like Xander on the bluff. LOL My point is, I love Charmed warts and all. HUGE fan here and I have never EVER thought of going on to Buffy/Angel boards to nitpick at either show, cause I like Charmed. Sounds like more "insane troll logic" to me.

Not to worry. As I said before it's not meant as a dis on Charmed fans, or to create a Charmed versus Buffy disagreement. Actually most people who like one show seem to like the other. But I continue to maintain there are some Charmed fans who seem to feel required to tear a strip off Buffy. Even when they actually like the show. I've never understood it. It's not just me who's noticed either. It used to be more noticeable when both shows were running. When the WB had both an Angel/Buffy board and a Charmed board there was a group of Charmed fans who would wander over, and troll the Buffy threads. It used to cause a bit of a fuss. It created a kind of Charmed/Buffy wall which I always thought was kind of dumb.

Well now u can say you meet a duel fan who isn't like that 😉! BTW...I am a huge Buffy fan too. But Charmed will always be a bit more special to me because like I said, I think it saved my life. Some people may find that weird, but it's true.

COOKIES ARE TAKING OVER THE UNIVERSE!!!! I'm wondering in the Buffyverse how does extra terrestrial life works, cause we've seen in that one episode an alien demon was summoned. So I'm wondering are all aliens nothing but demons that went to other planets? And if so how'd they get there?

um are we forgetting that willow burned warren into.. well nothing after ripping off his skin?? who knows what happened after that

I think this, if anything, was my major gripe with the first arc.

It's explained in #4 that the burning was a "flash paper trick" concocted by Amy. If that's the case, why wouldn't Willow have recognized that she wasn't the one who immolated him and thus have realized that another witch was around?

The only thing I can think of (re: hope) is that Warren has absolutely no recollection of that night past his skin job (and who could blame him?) and that the story Amy gave him wasn't entirely true.
