Did anyone else feel dissapointed when you bought S1 i know for sure i was for these reasons mostly

Short features including the overview

and theres only 2 commentarys and not even on my favorite epps like "5x5","Sancutary","In the dark",And this i really wanted to see and its "I Will Remember You"

Why do you think there was so little in S1?
 
Yeah I was disappointed. I hoped there would be more featturetes and stuff on it. But I think it was because it was the first season and they weren't really sure if people would actually have wanted to watch stuff like that, possibly.

Same problem DarkAvenger!

The brazillian version only had the episodes, and with a REALLY lame menu.

Damn disappointed, cause the Buffy ones (1,2,3) are really great.
 
lol you're so right!! When i saw the menu I was like.. wtf? I was expecting something with really good graphics or something but it was just horrible :/
 
Actually, I thought it was false xD

I was like "NOOOOO the store is trying to fool me! This can´t be official!!!" but then I saw other people with the same lame DVD and get "used" to...

But the Season 2 is "better". The cases are lame, and the prints on then too, but the menus have music (oh!) and animation (oh oh!) and extras (a miracle!)!!
 
well, you should see the portuguese version. it is SO horrible. mine doesnt have music or anything. Maybe i'll take a photo just to show you how lame the menus are!

I wish to buy the US version.. besides the few features, the DVD is good? Has a good box, menus and all? I´m thinking about eBay.

Yeah everythings really cool in it except the chessy bad menus in R1
Haven't got season 1 yet on dvd, but I heard it was disappointing... So I voted yes Xp
 
I was disappointed with the lack of features and cool intros to the menus, but I just got it for the episodes anyway. I mean, the Buffy DVDs I've watched so many times that not only can I damn near recite every line, but know the intros and the music to the DVD. All in all... it was lame, but I was just excited to see the episodes again after so long.
 
I thought season one was the worst out of all the 5 DVD's for extra features. But you have to think that they weren't sure it was going to take off and become a hit. I'm just glad it did and i can excuse the lack of features and lame music and pictures, the other 4 make up of it! 🙂 Although i did like reading the scripts..yes i know lame....

lol I like reading the scripts, too. I'm somewhat of a writer and it's interesting to see how it's all set up and how much work actually goes into an episode.
 
I wasn't really disappointed, there was a Cordelia featurette, so I was happy 😀

I have this season in 2 versions btw, in the American one and the Dutch/French one. It's nice, but I think the Dutch/French one looks prettier. They have these nice plastic DVD cases I like.
