Hard Decision
This one was kinda hard for me. I liked a lot of the episodes in season 3, but it eventually came down to Enemies vs. The Prom. I voted for Enemies, because it had less votes than The Prom. I loved Enemies because we got to see Angelus again (sort of) and because Buffy and co. finally found out that Faith was working with The Mayor. I loved that relationship (Faith/Mayor). I thought it was interesting that he was able to give Faith the one thing she so desperately needed: unconditional love. I liked the Faith/Angel dynamic in this episode. I also liked the Faith/Buffy fight. And, of course, this episode has one of my all-time favorite Buffy quotes.
"You still my girl?" Angel
"Always." Buffy
The Prom comes in second because it was just a heartbreakingly beautiful episode. I love Marti Noxon, who wrote the episode. (She seems to write a lot of the heavier Buffy eps.) I loved Buffy/Angel so much, but like many, I knew it was impossible for them to last. They were truly star-crossed lovers. This episode breaks my heart, and yet, it is one of my favorites. I love that Angel shows up at the prom and asks Buffy to dance. That was so great. Here are some other moments I loved:
Anya asking Xander to the prom
Xander buying Cordy her prom dress
Angel/Buffy breaking up in the sewers
Willow/Buffy's talk about Angel: "Now I'm just trying to keep from dying. I can't breathe, Wil. I can't breathe." (or close to this)
