Season Two Best Eppy...

As I said in the Poll thread for season one: I own season 1 on DVD and recently borrowed season two and three on DVD from a friend and was wondering what everyone's fave ep of the season is and why. So here's a poll that answer's just that.

In season two There are 22 eps and this includes two 2-part episodes. I'll keep them seperate and make an option for both as well.

My fave ep of Season 2 is I only have Eyes for you. I mean okay I'm not thrilled that Angel is in his big bad phase but it only intesifies how much he really loves her in my opinion. and I loved the whole Angel being the girl part. Just amazing. Plus it's cool that it worked out like that. If it had been the other way around the show would have ended rather disasterously I think. :Guillotin

I'd have to say my favorite eppie for season 2 is I Only Have Eyes For You. I love that eppie! I think because Angel and Buffy got to be together for a breaf moment, when he didn't have a soul. Plus i just like ghosts so that may have something to do with it.

Others i liked was Becoming Parts 1 and 2, School Hard, and when she was bad.

I think the best episode of Season 2 would have to be Passion Because that episode had death, romance and all that jazz. Plus it made me cry and stuff😀
But with that episode aside, I would vote for Becoming Part 1&2 Because those episodes where really cool. And part 2 made me cry to😛

SCHOOL HARD!!! I mean that episode was just beyond perfect for introducing Dru & Spike!!! Although being my favorite season there are ALOT of great favorites of mine in the season... ah stupid me all of them was an option :headbang: lol I still would have said School hard though probably.

Shoot I voted for Innocence when I meant to do Surprise.

I loved the whole fight scene in the mall, plus the water sprinklers/fake rain made it cool as well.

Oh s*** i voted for becoming part 1 + 2, but i like passion more, how dumb am i? (rhetorical question btw) that episode was so sad, i loved jenny she was great and was angel just so good in that episode, i was like no jenny dont die please!!! lol

Halloween. Ethan Rayne was in it. We got to see that Giles had a darker side. And it was just so funny! I laugh everytime I watch it (and that's alot of times by now).

This was my favorite season because it blurred the lines between good and evil--it wasn't just Us against Them: Angel and Spike switched sides, Giles showed a darker side, and some, like Ford and Ampata, just wanted to get back the lives that had been taken from them. Still, I just had to go with "Lie to Me", possible my fovorite episode EVER.

Dissolve to the cemetery. Buffy has tears in her eyes as she lays a bouquet of red roses on Ford's grave. She stands up again and walks back to Giles.

Buffy: I don't know what I'm supposed to say.

Giles: You needn't say anything.

Buffy: It'd be simpler if I could just hate him. I think he wanted me to. I think it made it easier for him to be the villain of the piece. Really he was just scared.

Giles: Yes, I suppose he was.

Buffy: Nothing's ever simple anymore. I'm constantly trying to work it out. Who to love or hate. Who to trust. It's just, like, the more I know, the more confused I get.

Giles: I believe that's called growing up.

Buffy: I'd like to stop then, okay?

Giles: I know the feeling.

Buffy: Does it ever get easy?

Ford suddenly rises from his grave, a vampire just like he wanted, and attacks Buffy. She plunges a stake into his heart with no more effort than swatting a fly. He steps back and looks at the stake protruding from his chest. He looks back up and bursts into ashes.

Giles: You mean life?

Buffy: Yeah. Does it get easy?

Giles: What do you want me to say?

Buffy: (looks up at him) Lie to me.

Giles: (considers a moment) Yes, it's terribly simple.

They start walking out of the cemetery.

Giles: The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Buffy: Liar.

I voted for "Innocence" because it was the MAJOR turning point in the season for so many story arcs. So many heavy, depressing moments . . . Willow seeing Xander and Cordelia kissing, Angelus breaking Buffy's heart, Giles' words of compassion for Buffy in the car, and Buffy and Joyce in the end . . . especially when Joyce tells Buffy to make a wish on her birthday candle and she just stares at it and says, "I'll just let it burn."

With this episode, the show grew up along with Buffy.

It was close between Suprise and Becoming Part 2. I love Suprise, its the second best bangel episode. The action is good and I even enjoyed watching the drama between Willow, Oz, Xander and Cordelia.

Becoming Part 2 has one of the best endings ever. It's so sad and the music is perfect. The fight scenes were excellent and the dialogue was fitting!! I loved the humour that Spike brought to the episode, he was so funny!!

Ohh.... I just love Becomming and What's my Line is also one of my favourite episodes ever.... It was hard to choose between them since Buffy had that just wonderful comment in WML: "They can send demons and assains after me, that's fine. But no one messes with my boyfriend!" 😛 Can't you just love that comment?

Anyway I voted for Becomming since it's one of the best episodes ever and I'll always remember it 🙂

I had to vote for Becoming part 2. First off it has one of the best lines in the entire serried:
Angelus: Now that's everything, huh? No weapons... No friends...No hope. Take all that away... and what's left?
Buffy: Me.
Second, very few things can beat Buffy killing Angel, the sacrafice she makes.
Third, I also like that you see a darker side of Xander. If he had told Buffy Willow was going to try to do the spell, Buffy may have been able to prevent the whole thing, but he was so angry with Angel (for good reason, mind you) and jealous as well, that he purposely misled Buffy. The character development is wonderful.

This was harder than my season three choice, but I have to go with 'Innocence'. Angel losing his soul is a major turning point in the series.

All the acting in this episode was first rate. Alyson Hannigan, as usual, can break your heart with a look, such as the one she gives when she sees Xander and Cordelia kissing. Her speech to Xander is heartbreaking, but her final comment kills me everytime: 'It means you'd rather be with someone you hate than be with me.'

David Boreanaz shows he's no slouch in the acting department with his 'morning after' speech to Buffy, you want to stake the SOB when he is so callous to Buffy (kudos have to go to Joss Whedon for writing something so nasty when he seems to be a nice guy).

Plus, like Joss, who didn't love Buffy more than ever when she picked up that freakin' rocket launcher?

This was a toughie, there were so many good episodes in s2, I picked Becoming pt 1+2 but it is followed closely by Surprise, Innocence, and Passion.

i would have voted for "becoming 2" but i'm so glad both are an option. so i'm voting both, doubtlessly the best episodes. a beautiful trip down memory lane and the most angsty scene ever aired on tv, can it bet any better than this? 😉

Probably the best season climax of the series, if not any series, ever! And also the episodes where i realised Spike was the single greatest creation of a tv character ever! 😉
