I'm not sure if they are called cardinal values, in fact i dont think they are but in philosophy today we learned about three new values introduced to catholics via the 2nd testament, they where faith, hope and charity- which is similar to the episode title in s3 faith, hope and trick. Apparently charity means love so by missing this part out is it some kind of symbolic message saying about how buffy has no love in her life or isnt loved by scott anymore or maybe its a coedink or maybe it has another meaning, what do you think?

i don't think so, firstly saying that Buffy "isnt loved by scott anymore" wouldn't make sense because its in this ep that we first find out that he likes her. Secondly, The title 'Faith, Hope and Trick' is just a reference to the 3 new characters we meet in this episode, Faith, Scott Hope and Mr.Trick. Thats my opinion anyway, I don't think that there's supposed to be any deeper meaning than that.

I kinda think that the title is just a play on words. I think that many people know the "Faith, Hope and Charity" thing, so they entitled this episode "Faith, Hope and Trick" as an interesting way to introduce these characters with a well-known saying, but with the twist at the end to call it their own.
