Hey don't be sorry 🙂 I used to go on the bronze a long time ago but as a lurker not a poster, and I've met some of the UK bronzers at gigs and conventions.... but now you've put my marbles to rest and at least I don't think I'm insane 😀

But hopefully we'll meet at some point 😀

haven't decided WHAT i'm gonna wear yet - what's the deal with the "elizabethan" gown they mentioned on the site?

It means you can wear anything to the vampire ball from whatever period you desire, a lot of the vampire groups like the victorian look for parties, but you could wear anything from elizabethan gowns to modern day stuff, slam in your vamp teeth and volia .... your a vampire at a ball 🙂

Eclipse Parties

Friday night at Eclipse is to be the Pyjama Party. Originally planned for Sunday night, by popular demand this theme has been shifted to the Friday. Dressing gowns, negligees, nighties and PJ's, it's an informal start to the weekend.

Saturday night will be the traditional Vampire Ball - time to drag out those Elizabethan dress once more.

Sunday night is to be Cheerleader night. Time to come down and support your favourite team - and remember, guys can be cheerleaders too.

So looking at *that* lineup I guess I'll only be dressing up on Saturday!
 
I must admit I was a little disappointed with the Eclipse themes as they don't really include everyone. I thought the pj party was a great idea for the Sunday night to kick back and relax, but to swap it to Friday when people are wanting to party hard. Strange! I won't be dressing up that much either, at least not in theme.

I love the Homecoming themes though 🙂

i'm cool with the themes now, although i have to agree that i think the pj party would be better on the sunday. whatever i end up wearing, i'm really looking forward to it all!
 
I'm terribly disappointed by both the Friday and Sunday themes at Eclipse as they seem geared for the men to have a good time ogling the girls with the fit legs in both their little skimpy nighties and then their cheerleading gear.

At least the Hawaiian theme would have given both genders a chance to kick back, and I'm sure the original theme somewhere was a 50s or Grease night ?? or am I losing my mind?
 
LOL! you may be right about the ogling thing, but i think the pyjamas and cheerleaders themes have more in common with BtVS than the 50s or Grease! (not that i'll be wearing a skimpy nightie - my tartan jimjams will have to do, unless i can find a pair with sheep on them!)
