Didn't anybody's heart just break when they saw Spike cry seeing Buffy's body? Shows he truely loved her imo

Very heartbreaking. Every time he cries it breaks my heart, thanks to James' great acting skills. And you're right, it goes to show that it's not an obsession toward Buffy anymore, that's love, and I don't understand how one can deny it.

That was the moment I realized Spike really did love Buffy. It never fails to real my heart; James' acting in that scene is superb.

Well this scene is epic because you see what Spike is really feeling for Buffy: Love. And then when she's dead, Spike breaks, see no reason to fight anymore for anything! Really Epic. You can find this scene on Youtube very often too!

Paralell this with Angel's reaction of "I'm okay" and you see who really loved Buffy. Why didn't Angel stick around to take care of Dawn?

Angel was busy fighting against his own enemies and didn't have time to babysit a teenager in a different town, and he knew she was in safe hands with the gang.

And Angel saying he's okay doesn't mean he didn't love Buffy just as much or more than Spike. It was 3 months later and Angel had people (Cordy) helping him through it. He also had work and his mission to keep his mind off things. Besides, he spent the Summer in a different country trying to get over her death because it affected him so much.

Spike had nobody to take comfort in and nothing to do with his life to help him move on from Buffy's death, so it's only normal for Spike to still be deeply depressed over it.

Plus being reminded of Buffy everytime he looked at Dawn (or worst, the Buffy-Bot) wasn't good for him at all.

And for someone that really "loved" Buffy he sure didn't mind taking advantage of her depressed state and trying to rape her when she "dumped" him a few months later.

Hmm, I'm not sure why this had to turn into a shipping war. I don't think you can compare Spike's and Angel's reactions. If Angel had run to Sunnydale to try to help out, he would've been criticized for that, too.

Taking the scene as it is, with no comparisons, yes, it's incredibly moving. And not just Spike himself, but added with everybody's reaction at seeing Buffy's lifeless body. He's just completely devestated.

If you truly love someone then, no matter what, there is no "okay" when you lose them, especially if it's been so little time. Can we not do this here though? I just figured that this was safe zone. It did say Spuffy, right? I didn't think I was gonna get my throat slit from behind by a Bangeler. IM me with your rebuttell... If you have one, that is.

I cry every time not because Buffy died, but because Spike is SO heartbroken!!!! It's so sad! I'm like "Spikey!!!! SPIKEY!!!!! KLFNLDKFJ:KDSJFKL😀JKFLDS SPIKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I agree about the shipping war. Chosen Slayer just asked a simple question about Spike. Bada bing, bada boom, you know?

But yes it really is a moving scene. Most people started the wetworks when Spike started crying......most people meaning me. 😀

The title did say Spuffy-related, but this was not posted in the Spuffy-only sub-forum of the Lovers' Walk forum (https://www.buffy-boards.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=375). None of us Bangels (or anyone else) would've posted there. Post a comment like that on any other forum, and a rebuttal will probably happen.

When Spike cries, I cry. It's also interesting to notice that he's the one who shows the most his emotions. I can't say he cries more than the other, because obviously it's not about how much you cry, but I like the fact that he fully lives his emotions. He doesn't pretend, he doesn't care about being the tough guy when it really matters. It's something I really love about him (well actually I love pretty much everything about him ^^)
