Serenity Comics

[Kanazaka]

So, this is sort of an old topic, since the only Serenity comic that I have read is Those Left Behind (which I recently finished reading). I liked it a lot. Joss Whedon and Brett Matthews nicely captured the tone of "Firefly" and Serenity, as well as the voices of each character. Will Conrad's artwork also nicely replicates the franchise's mood (especially

the "ghost" ship strewn with dead bodies

. The story nicely sets up the film, logically creating and deepening rifts between the main characters. Next up for me: Better Days and A Shepherd's Tale.

They're all pretty good. Although I thought A Shepherd's Tale was completely unnecessary - some things are best left to the imagination.

But Better Days is by far the best in my opinion. I would totally recommend that to any Firefly fan. It really feels like a lost episode(s) of the show.

lol Shepherd's Tale was the one I was most interested in reading, because I always wanted to know what the deal was with Book lol 😀
