I've always liked this image. Not sure what the deal is with the explosion in the back, lol. But at least it doesn't look like some kind of bargain basement Starship Troopers poster. I like that font they're using for "Serenity" too.
 
I like it, looks nice and clean and crisp. Dunno if I can wait until the 27th. May import but still buy the UK one.

The explosion must be to show the action elements, even if its not fitting with the scene that that shot is taken from (that make sense?)
 
Ha! I blagged a poster of that particular pic last time we went to the cinema 🙂 They had a pile of them in the foyer...
 
For some reason, to me this looks more like a DVD cover for a TV show. The American design seems like a familiar Hollywood movie poster style, with lots of photocompositing, mixing and matching images...

My favorites of all time are the old Russian movie posters, from just after the revolution, '20s, '30s...nowhere to go with that, lol. But, if you look at that recent Franz Ferdinand CD cover, with the yelling megaphone design"”that's like a direct quote from the Russians. Hollywood is so conservative, movie poster-wise.

Anyway. Ordered the Aussie version from JB Hi-Fi last night because it has a cool cover that slips over the front, lookie; http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/dvds/id/809477

Cost me about £17 with P&P which isn't too bad in my opinion. Dunno how long it'll take to get here after release but ah well. It has an extra featurette or two so I'll wait.

Although make sure you have a multi-region DVD player though.

Anyway gonna get a R2 copy too, for a friend's birthday. May get a R1 copy as well to keep me going.
 
A computer is a multi-Region DVD player right, like if we put the aussie one in the Comouter it will play right?
 
I've watched Region 1 DVDs like two times at my computer and now I can't change the region anymore so.. Only region 2 for me... But I can't afford to buy Serenity anyway. But it looks pretty..
