A rough cut of...Serenity was screened to a select audience in London in early February. A letter from Whedon was read before the screening, apologising that "this is a very rough cut, the special effects aren't finished, the music is a temp track, the color(sic 🙂) hasn't been corrected and at least one scene is completely stupid. For legal reasons I can't tell you what that scene is, but rest assured in September, the special effects will be amazing, there will be an original score and the movie will be 30 per cent less stupid...PS sorry about our President, still can't figure out how that happened." While far from a final version, sources at the screening say the film was hugely impressive, and not at all stupid
I am really looking forward to seeing Serenity the more I read. I wonder how one gets selected to be part of the "select audience"...perhaps I should post more on the official Browncoats site 🙂...and that Joss, what a wag, eh?
