Ok so I saw Serenity in the cinema tonight, I was well impressed, I have a couple of Question, I have never seen Firefly before, So what is up with all the Chinese symbols?(They are Chinese right?) weren't they in Fray? And can someone explain River to me, How can she fight like that - She fought like a slayer?(I thought?)

It's supposed to be the future where China and somewhere else.. (I forget) are the only super powers left. So... yeah...

River was an experiment of the Alliance.
She was a genius normally so they drafted her into the little program and all.

I thought this film was absolutely amazing, one of the best films I've seen ina long, long time and can i say that river is absolutely the greatest fighter ever cos shes just bad ass and i love her, im so gonna buy firefly on dvd, does river fight a lot in that?

Ok since I have never seen Firefly I could be completely wrong but is it possible that Its based in the same 'verse' as Buffy?? But in the future? (Way in the future, past even Fray?)

I don't think so. Or if it is, there's no mention of slayers vampires, etc. There's not even aliens 😉 I would recommend borrowing, begging or buying (no stealing) the Firefly DVDs and (most) of your questions will be answered (although a couple of questions I still had after the series were answered by by the movie. And I really thought that River's sitch was pretty clear in the movie: Alliance scientists did a bunch of experiments on her to make her into this super-psychic-weapon-fighter chick.

I cant wait to see the Series, but eben in the movies they said she was beyond anyone else, stronger and graceful.

In the series, River didn't really fight anyone. Only did a small gunfight, taking out 3 people with her eyes closed.

And of course, her little psychic ability shows a bit.
