Serenity Rocks SFX Awards 2005

The biggest selling (I'd imagine, thats not a fact I've looked up) British science fiction publication SFX have announced the winners of their awards for 2005, all voted by the public. (Well SFX readers technically)

The film/its cast and crew won the following awards:

Best Film: Serenity
Best Actor: Nathan Fillion
Best Actress: Summer Glau
Best Director: Joss Whedon
Best Non-Fiction Book: Serenity – The Official Visual Companion
Sexiest Man: Nathan Fillion
Hall of Fame: Serenity

So thats 7/16 awards, nearly half of them. Oh Astonishing X-Men got best comics, so thats 8/16 for the Whedonverse in effect. Good news indeed. Although the fact Billie Piper beat Summer, Gina, Jewel and Morena shocks me. I mean c'mon people!

Hey, that's fun. I'll bet Serenity wins lots of other stuff from the Genre community too. What's the big Sci-fi award? Is it the Hugo? Is there an award for movies there? I think there is.

On Billie Piper. I like Billie Piper. Serenity won lots, so what the heck. Good for her.

Well it just, she looks alright but wouldn't say shes the best. She is the kinda attractive girl next door. Although, she married Chris Evans so maybe she deserves some compensation.

And what about the Saturn awards? Angel always did pretty well with that one too...
