Serenity, serenity 2?

So there has been some talk about a Serenity two since dvd sales were superb for the first one. Anyone know what the sales were really like and if a Serenity two is still a possibility?
Also, anyone else think Serenity gets better everytime you watch it? I swear it does. Just finished it and I loved it more now. It could be because the first couple of times was before I saw Firefly. But no matter what, it's so good.

Yea there was talk but some of the actors have other jobs now and with the strike, who knows what will happen. I don't know if the signal stopped though, you can't stop it!

Well I still have not heard anything. There are still people who want it, but doesn't mean it will happen. Sadly enough. I still hope tho, everyday I hope.

As the news hound and voice of the news on the award winning Firefly podcast 'The Signal' (link below) for the past three years I monitor all the Firefly happenings whether official or just rumor. 😉

Joss and the cast are still very interested in doing a sequel. It's all a case of getting the studio (Universal) to pony up the $. 🙂

Sales of the original DVD and the newer collectors edition have been good. The official Serenity merchandise also sells well and there is demand from companies to be able to offer more officially licensed materials. Those signs are good things and Universal does watch that all very closely so they are probably still considering doing one but I haven't heard that anything is imminent.
