Seth Green (a.k.a. Oz) Joins Scooby-Doo 2 Cast

Seth Green has joined the cast of Scooby Doo 2, the sequel written once again by Screenwriter James Gunn.
Green will play Patrick, a mysterious museum curator at the Coolsonian Criminology Museum.

The second installment begins shooting April 14 in Vancouver and will be released March 26, 2004.

HOLLYWOOD (Zap2it.com) "“ Actor Seth Green ("Austin Powers in Goldmember") has signed on to co-star in "Scooby-Doo 2" for Warner Bros. The sequel sees the return of the first film's director, Raja Gosnell, as well as stars Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard and Linda Cardellini.

Written by James Gunn ("Scooby-Doo"), the film follows Scooby and the gang as they confront a masked villain plotting to take over the city of Coolsville. The evildoer plans to wreak mayhem with a monster machine that creates Mystery Inc.'s classic foes like the Creeper, Captain Cutler and the 10,000-Volt Ghost.

Green will play Patrick, the curator of the Coolsonian Museum, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Green will be seen next in Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato's "Party Monster" with Macaulay Culkin, and in F. Gary Gray's "The Italian Job," opposite Mark Wahlberg and Edward Norton.

Production on "Scooby-Doo 2' is set to begin next week.

Thank you so much for posting this, NoAngel, you have no idea how happy this makes me. I mean, SMG and Seth in the same movie? It's like getting two scoopes of ice cream when you only asked for one. Just crossing my fingers for Seth to have, what seems somewhat like, a big part (and a full head of various colored hair). *goes to wait for March 2004 to see Seth and Sarah*🙄

I saw him in America's Sweethearts. He was brilliant. The only problem is whenever I see him in anything else I always think of him as Oz.
