Speaking of snarky. I wanna say I don't like alternative reality stories. I guess I have to admit though; that doesn't mean they're bad, or shouldn't be done. It just means you can mark me down in the column that says "dislike".

I go especially "Huh?" when you can tell the same story and stick to canon. I'm not sure I understand why OM can't do that with the story he wants to tell.

Joking aside, this sounds like fun...god, I'm so middle-aged...🙁

Ahem, right there with ya, brother.

I've been kicking around a storyline for what would have been S8 of Buffy, loosely based on a little piece I wrote about how Angel should end, (before it actually was ended...). A big bad is feeding off demonic energy to become, well, the Big Bad, and has kinda been doing B's job for her, with all the eating of vamps and such. Buffy is on her world tour to contact the newly-created slayers, and has a couple of run-ins with said nasty (who is after her because of the goodness mixed with the original dark power of the slayer). The story I'm working on is set in New Orleans, with a new slayer named Lindsay, who is a dancer. They uncover a cache of dormant vamps, held in stasis (see, I watched Star Trek too!!) in the Ursuline Convent. Buffy ends up in a bit of a dilemna when the vamps escape and the bad demoneater shows up. Hilarity ensues. I hope to get some of this out soon...

Killerdwarf....your idea sounds solid! Don't just sit on this idea now...start putting it down on paper, dude! (or whatever other medium you prefer).

Your partner gonna be working on that with you? Or is that solely your baby?
 
No not Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. Dorothy Parker from the Algonguin Round Table. KD was talking about the Algonguin Roun Table.

You know Dorothy Parker right? She wrote those funny poems with the play on words.

We should change our names to Algonquin members. :evillol: Beer_Nut could be Moss Hart and he would say to Mr. Pointy who would be George S Kaufman "Age before beauty", and Pointy Kaufman would retort "and pearls before swine". Cause you know...those guys were nasty. :mad30: We could be nasty too. 🙂

But not too nasty you know, :: inlove cause I don't want to scare KD off. I want to read that story about the trekie vampires. And Ursuline convent... Where have I heard that before.

Being a Brit I don't know much about Dorothy Parker et al but I thought that the expression "friend of Dorothy" did come from her, as most of her coterie of male friends in the Algonquin Round Table were gay...though I know some sources have its origin from the stereotypical gay male fondness for musical theatre and Judy Garland. I'd always thought the former to be correct but you guys have confused me...I must away to Google for my waspish American critics lesson 😉

BTW OM is referring to a story idea I had for Xander, which I've been pitching to him - more on that to follow...

No, Buffyverse stuff is mine, Evil Clown isn't interested in Buffy...🙁 his loss! And yeah, it'll probably be on paper first...I work better in pencil...I can erase my mistakes and take my notebook with me. Laptops get stolen way too much! I'm off to write...!
