Sex ed. good or bad? or none of the previous? what's you're thoughts about it? is it good for teaching the teens how to be safe in sex or it's just currupting their young innocent minds (lol...have to rspectect it though...it's some people's thoughs..) ??
and does it work or it's just a waste of time? do you have (or had) sex ed in your school? do you learned anything ussful? whoa...that's a lot's of questions... just respond to what you want.

I think it's good-an important positive step in educating teens against unsafe sex or unwise sexual attitudes. I had sex ed. in school and I feel like I came out in a good way when it comes to my attitudes towards sex and the responsibility it brings. I mean, I already knew what it was and I already had the feelings, so it was better that I was educated in them and not just floundering around aimlessly in them. Did I just share too much? LOL

I had sex ed. in my school, but it didn't teach me anything about having safe sex. I'm a lesbian and they weren't teaching gay sex ed in my highschool. Everything I learned about lesbian safe sex I learned from my friends and from pamplets and things once I got to college. I think sex ed would be good if they taught about all types of sex, but if its just use condoms that doesn't apply to some people. Plus its kind of uncomfortable to be gay and not open about it in a sex ed class since you can't ask the questions you want to ask.

Well I had sex'ed, it was ok during Health, since they just had people come in and talk to us, show us a video about a boy getting a girl to have sex with him, took us back in the class rooms, made us look at some disgusting pictures(ppl with STDs), made us play a game where we married someone and did the whole "they slept with thise person who slept with this person and had unsafe sex". Here it was more of a "Stay Celebate" thing, instead of protect yourself.

In the end, it didnt really do any good to anyone in my class, and I think that they should be doing this in middle school instead of highschool since now a lot more people are starting to have sex in middle school.

yeah i agree hitome!

i think kids should be taught how to have lesbian sex!

actually maybe not all kids

but i'd like to know...

I think it's a good thing to have sex ed. but seeing as Polish government doesn't have money for anything we had like 10 lessons of it with our Biology and thanx to a band of hypocrits we were taught that only natural ways of contraceptions are the right one...So altogether not v.informative, basically everyone was doing whatever he/she wanted to do at that time.

We dont have much sex-ed in our school,so far the only sex-ed classes we've had are the ones in the Biology lessons, and we've had people come into school about twice and they gave us pamphlets and stuff.

I never really had a formal sex ed class. In elementary, we saw a video on periods. In middle school, I attended a seminar about STDS, which made me never want to have sex EVER! In high school, I took health over the break and didn't really learn anything.

we don't have sex ed. the teachers bassicly have to tell us "don't have sex. wait untill you're married or you'll get an std or get pregnant!".. one time a women from a group of suport to people w/ aids give us a class of possible contraceptives...and that's it. we bassicly learn everything we know about it in tv and w/ friends..not very safe at all sonsedering that teen pregnancys and std's are growing numers. i think the govnerment should do a real sex ed class, but the parents pressure don't really let them. we are still a very "old thinking" country, so bassicly parents think that if a girl has sex w/ her boyfriend vefore mariege she's a slut.. and lesbian and gay sex are still tabu here. personally nothing against it, it's better that people are informed then getting a STD.

I think it's good. Most teens don't get this kind of information from their parents because it's embarrassing in some way so if they get it at school then that's good. If I hadn't had it I wouldn't know all about contreception or STDs. These things are very important for teens to learn about. If it wasn't for sex ed I think there would be a lot more teen pregnancy and problems with AIDS and other diseases.

Sex ed is a good idea, but what they teach is useless. Studies have shown that preaching abstinence to kids does nothing. There are more sexually active teenagers now than there were before they started Sex Ed. Instead of the no tolerance policy and teaching abstinence (since it's ineffective), they need to start emphasizing safe sex. Adults need to admit to themselves that there are those who are going to have sex, despite what they are told, so they need to emphasize protection.

sex ed here is: don't do sex! sex is bad! ansd thats pretty much it...i think i know all i need about safe sex because of my friends and stuff, altough i would like to lear more stuff about it in school..and i've always been curious about safe sex in lesbians...how does that work ? ???

I think it's good, but then again, half the people who have the class probably won't listen anyway.

it is good and it is something that HAS to be done!! i think they still don't do enough

they should give teens the feeling that it is just a natural thing to have sex and that u can talk bout it without being ashamed and that is good and "cool" to use condomes
it's still the thing that people think that condomes aren't "cool" but they are! they save lives
