Hi,

somebody here watching the new stargate franchise?

It's not directely a whedonian show, but there was Kayleee in SG:A so maybe there are some SG:U watchers around 😀

Just finised the newest episode, and i have to say the show improved like 300000% in the last few episodes. The edisodes in the beginning were more like an space opera, completely missing the action part which made the fisrt SG shows so interresting.

But the couple last episodes realy offered to me the good otd stargate feeling, and i can even see how they yould develope the story furthermore, they threw a couple interesting plot elements in, which would be nice to wrap up.

I know the show got canceled or, it dind't got a pickup for a 3th season, which is pretty much the same isn't it?
But dou you gus think there is a chance we will se a S3 coming? or did they already wracked the stages to make place for another failig show???

In the beginning i yould be completely fine with canceling that crap ASAP.

But the last episodes kinda opend so much room for storytelling and action, i think i wouldnt be the only one whou would be sad if the show gets canceled after the coming S2 final. could be a second firefly 😀

Are there any experiences on your side as the "American Tv consumer" about shows that get canceled and then, after the viewers liked it anyway. got produced for more seasons?

greetings Fabian

I'm now on the last season of SG-1, have already watched Atlantis so in the near future I'll move on to Universe. From what you've said it'll be interesting to see what I think of the show in the beginning.

I'm now in the beginning of season 2. Sure took it's time to really get going but lately I'm liking it more and more. Make me think more of Battlestar Galactica than the previous Stargate shows but what would be the point in doing the same show again? Not like the show is the same as BSG. It just have more of the same feeling.

I've watched Stargate Universe and I've seen alittle bit of Stargate Atlantis. The Stargate franchise is good and I think there probably will be a third season because it does have a really large fanbase.

Talking to myself. Have now finished all the episodes. It got way, way better and I got more attached to more characters. Still Eli is my favourite and I wasn't mad when it ended. Sure I wish we'd gotten more episodes but I'm already over it. Maybe a movie to finish it off properly?

I'm no expert so the only one I can think of is Family Guy.

The episode opens with Peter telling the rest of the family that Family Guy has been canceled. He lists the following 29 shows, that he says Fox has to make room for: Dark Angel, Titus, Undeclared, Action, That '80s Show, Wonderfalls, Fastlane, Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Skin, Girls Club, Cracking Up, The Pitts, Firefly, Get Real, Freakylinks, Wanda at Large, Costello, The Lone Gunmen, A Minute with Stan Hooper, Normal, Ohio, Pasadena, Harsh Realm, Keen Eddie, The $treet, The American Embassy, Cedric the Entertainer Presents, The Tick, Luis and Greg the Bunny. Lois asks whether there is any hope, to which Peter replies that if all these shows are canceled they might have a chance, the joke being all these shows had indeed already been canceled by Fox.

Firefly. 🙁
