A new study done by a team of researchers led by professor Noam Sobel at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel points to the newly discovered human behavior that we smell our hands after shaking hands with another person. Similar to how dogs smell each other’s butts to convey chemical messages, Sobel and his team believe shaking hands may provide a form of subliminal social chemosignaling.

They have a video that "proves" it.. the comments contain profanity so please note that it's not conducive to that of a family friendly board.

But anyway.. I think the whole thing is bunk. They aren't sniffing their hands after shaking hands. I am not buying it. Are YOU buying it?

I seriously think that this is entirely made up- some 'scientists' will find excuses to 'discover' anything, and by that I mean students of the 'soft' sciences, like sociology.

Seriously, if some idiot comes up with crap like this and calls it a 'discovery' then anybody is quite justified to go and tell them to get a real job. 😀

I was going along with the study to a degree, until I watched the video of their 'evidence'.

In fact I did not. I was GOING to, but now I certainly won't as the desire to prove you wrong far outweighs the little satisfaction I would receive from voting.

No, I don't think I do. This is so weird. People actually do this? I never noticed. I'm gonna have to pay attention next time I shake hands. But now that I know it I'm biased and won't get real results.
