My new work place has a newsagency next door that actually has awesome art supplies! Just bought myself a new canvas, a set of good quality sketch pencils and a new sharpener! Only problem is I want to go home to use it! Instead I'm stuck at a work meeting till 8. But new art supplies always makes me excited!

I love buying art supplies - even if I'm totally talentless at using 'em!
Today I am happy about:

1. I worked out for the first time....ever? No, but a long time. 🙂

2. I got a grade on a paper that was lower than I thought because of a formality. The content was a high grade, but they lowered it because of the formality stuff. I've been obsessing about grades since I could get them, and today I felt fine with getting the lower grade. I was a little annoyed, but I told myself that I don't need someone else telling me I am smart, 'cause I know that I am. And it worked! For like the first time, for real! I felt calm and not upset. And I felt like I even though I have known this intellectually for quite some time I actually FELT today that I'm so much more than just smart and getting good grades isn't that important for me anymore. As long as I pass I'm content. I know it probably sounds silly, but I have worked really hard on this the last 2 years, so for me it's a big thing. I'm really proud of myself.

Happiness: Driving up to upstate NY to visit my parents, siblings, and my Uncle who's visiting them for Thanksgiving. It'll be the first time my Uncle will meet my 18 month old son. He lives in NJ, we live in MD, don't get to see him very often. So, it'll be cool to see him for Thanksgiving.

The driving, on the other hand, won't be fun tomorrow night.
 
I've had an offer off a friend to move in together next year, which I'm considering =) Also my DVDs should arrive tomorrow =)

I haven't had any money for a while but I got some today, yay! so I am going to buy movies 😀

I mentioned BtVS and LotR in my dissertation. I've been looking for a way to sneak it in (I always subtly geek up my papers so I don't go round the bend stuck in the library all day for weeks) and yesterday I finally managed to without it feeling forced and it made me ridiculously happy and pleased with myself. I have my own fun.

Just got a plesant surprise which has seen me change my No.1 choice of Uni next year.

Film Studies and Media Studies Combined Honours is in my hometown which is actually IDEAL!
 
My copy of Toy Story 3 and my tickets to see Sally Morgan (TV psychic) have arrived, so wasn't expecting that. Talk about a way to end the week on a better note after being so ill. I know what I'm watching later on. 😀
 
I just passed my 7th grade cornet exam, which I seriously thought I'd fail, so I'm on cloud 9 at the moment 😀

I won't scare other dorms with crazy smileys, but will do so in the VH lounge. 😀

Oh, and my mum bought Christmas baubles for the tree today!!! 😀

I am here with my friend Allyse and we have the windows open, the fan on and Taylor Swift music blasting out of the stereo and we're singing along to them. It's so much fun and I'm on cloud nine, I really am. I just like being in the same room as my friends. It makes me feel good.

Ooh, and Cherry Bomb is on now.
 
I just spent three hours tidying and cleaning my room... exhausted! But at least it looks nice and clean and tidy now - so I am happy. 😀
