I love how chopping wood is a nice, physical, wordless vent, and how calming the sound of the fire afterwards is. Also, I love a warm house when it's way below freezing outside.

Took a nap and had a dream that Tara was my teacher in high school. I think I would've tried harder if she had been.

Well, there's that too, but my high school only had 10 teachers, so if she was one of them, chances are I'd have her again.

My sister who's in paris for school just responded to me on facebook for the first time all semester and she told me she loves me and misses me. My sister told me she loves me for the first time in many years. I still can't believe it. I've literally dreamt of this moment. I keep thinking I'm going to wake up and it was a dream... but it wasn't.
 
I got my new Buffy shirt in the mail today. 🙂 It only took one day to get it. It's from 80stees.com and it has Buffy, Willow, Angel, and Spike (Spike's in vamp mode) and it says ,"DEMONS! DARKNESS! DANGEROUS WOMEN!" and of course, "Buffy the vampire slayer," at the bottom. It's gorgeous and I love it and I'm wearing it now. 🙂
 
So I'm about to play Rock Band 3 and I'm getting ready to rock out and then the doorbell rings, so I'm dragging my feet to go see who it is, and it's the post man. He hands me a box and says Happy Birthday. So I'm like...whaaa?

I open the box and It's the Triangle Tara doll, signed and personalized by Amber Benson, along with a post card saying Happy Birthday in her handwriting....

I think I might have died a little bit 😀😀😀😀

I'm so jealous!!!
I've been having a really crappy living situation, but today I got my 3 showing of an apartment this week! I think I have a good chance on getting the one I really want too, and it's sooooooo pretty and new and fresh, the whole house was built in 2007! YAY! I'm so, so, so, SO happy about this! Aaaand, I get to live with the one of my roomies I like! I think we would've so much fun together!

This might be an odd "happiness" post, but I ordered a few t-shirts from thinkgeek the other day. They haven't arrived yet, but they're awesome and I'm really excited!

Two of them are from their Heroine series, which features awesome women in history for technology, science, and literature. The two I got feature Ada Lovelace (the first computer programmer) and Mary Shelley (who is awesome for obvious reasons, if you're a feminist/literary geek lol). I'm so excited for them to come! Plus I had an online coupon, so I got 10 dollars off my purchase. 😀 😀

I also got a Firefly t shirt with the dinosaurs and the "curse your inevitable betrayal" conversation Wash roleplays. But that's just pure geekiness on my part, haha.

But what spoils my happiness is, that I have to work on a paper on the Bosnian war. And I just don't feel like it -_-

I ordered the first season of Arrested Development yesterday and I got it home today! I've wanted to buy it for so long but they're always so expensive and I'm cheap so I don't want to spend that much money on just one season, but they finally lowered the prices on it! 😀 Now I have to re-watch it cos' I haven't seen it a while 🙂
 
Off to visit my parents / siblings tonight. Late flight, but it'll be fun. We're exchanging presents early and I'm excited to give everyone their gifts - and have my son help hand them out...if he doesn't rip the wrapping paper first 🙂
