First day in a new job tomorrow, im so not gonna screw this up after it took so long to get one!

My stepmom send me on a odd request because she has a migraine so she couldn't go out and go to Wal-Greens to pick out a Valentine's Day card and chocolates. So her request was for me to go Wal-Greens and do that. I did. I was nervous about picking out the right card that said what my stepmom wants to say. When I got home, she said it's perfect. So that made me happy.😀

I just went on a long hike with my dog. It's such a beautiful morning and the scenery was beautiful; bright yellow, orange and purple wildflowers all over....made for a peaceful morning.

What made me happy? I told my co-worker to watch Buffy. He watched all 7 seasons and is now obsessed. Next up, getting him to join BB 😀

My little kitty's being such a sweetheart. I was gone for two days, and now he won't leave me alone. He always does this when I get back from being at Gramma's, and I think it's the cutest thing!

My mom has MS so sometimes it's hard for he to walk around the classroom to look at her students' work like teachers do. And sometimes it hurts and it's hard for her to walk with her class to lunch or the bathroom... or even changing classes. She forgot her cane at home today... and her students were so amazing. I just got off the phone with her... apparently there were several students in every class offering her their shoulder to use as a crutch and way to balance herself when she walked. Also her students came up to her with questions and to show her their work rather than having her come there. Mom said in one class they were working a worksheet and the kids took turns every few minutes a kid from somewhere in the room (mom did not detect a pattern) would come up to her desk, show her their worksheet, ask for any suggestions or if they were going it right or whatnot, get their feedback, and sit back down. After class a few of them came up to her and told her they wanted her to be able to give them random feedback when it was hard for her to walk around the room like she did when she did walk around the room. One of them said "you can do whatever you could do." Mom said that meant so much to her. I'm so glad mom's students this year are supportive and kind. Last her her students were monsters... ESPECIALLY about her disability. She said to me on the phone just now "I have the best support system ever. I have you, the rest of the family, my friends, my students... I'm so lucky." I got a category of my own.

I don't know it just really made me so happy I can't even describe that my mom feels supported... and IS supported. I love her so much. It hurts me to think my mom has all of these problems she has to face... and it makes it hurt so much less to know she's getting all of the help she can get from us (the family) and now her students.

Out of all the fics I've ever written, I'm mostly excited about the one I am writing now. Although I don't really like Faith, or the idea of Fuffy, I got this huge inspiration to write a Fuffy fic. I have it all outlined. I'm thinking I could easily write a few chapters. This is the first time i've ever gotten this much inspiration for a fan-fiction 😀 I'm so excited! Now all I have to do is write it!

I think I owe it to myself to put this here, but yesterday I was given an award at work for some projects that I've been doing- just a certificate and a yellow pass holder (because I'm now a Yellow Belt) but they took us out for tapas afterwards.

I am happy through sadness.

My uncle died two days ago (tecnically his body died yesterday, but he was gone before that). I am very sensitive to the emotions of people around me so it's hard like that, but I'm happy because we are remembering him in his best moments. He was a very funny person and it's beautiful to have people saying what amazing hilarious stories they have. I love how people can be so supportive and cheer you up while you remember.

Away from the home life, I'm doing a solo in choir (which I mentioned in the VH Lounge), and today I got to lead the alto section since our teacher was out. I love doing leader stuff, it makes me feel good to help people. So that was nice, even if I had to leave the room after a while to work with the other five soloists.
