Sharing Accounts

Guys, sharing accounts with each other is not allowed.

Don't share your passwords - that's account security 101.

Plus, you're not supposed to be seeing each others dorms. They're supposed to be for dorm members only - that's not fair to the people who aren't cheating.

It's in the rules in two places not to access other people's accounts, and dorms.

If I see any more of this, you will lose your house privileges. Come on people, you know how to act right, act right.

Whoever did that is a douchebag. Even Christopher and I didn't stoop that low. We were tempted - but we didn't. If we can resist the apple then I'm sure you all can. If I ever find out someone from Drogyn gave out their password then you're on my list. And it's a bad list. Not a fun one that involves presents. It might involve presents, but it would be poop. That is on fire.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around people doing that. Sharing passwords with someone in gneral is a dumb idea. Going onto someone else's dorm takes away from so much of the fun of the dorms which is we don't know what the others look like

This is pretty freakin low. To do that, you're spitting in the face of the prefects who actually do their job to come up with fun events for their dorm to do instead of ripping off someone else's. Also, when you can see everything, it takes a little of the fun out if things. I hope you folks who are ruining things for everyone else are happy with yourselves.

I can't believe members would do this. Sure, I've been curious about the other dorms but I wouldn't ask for passwords so I could look at what other dorms are doing or saying.

Do we even know if someone shared accounts to see each others' dorms or if they did it for some other reason? From what Darla wrote in the first post, it seems to be jumping to conclusions to assume that's why the members did it. Not that I can come up with another reason to share accounts.

Rulebreaking is rulebreaking, and should obviously not be allowed, but the tone of this thread makes me uncomfortable.

Me too. Sure, they didn't do a great thing but does that give us the right to talk like this to them? Are we allowed to talk to all rule breakers on the board like this then go ahead and say it to me too. They've been warned and if it happens again they'll be punished. Maybe they think all reactions are fun or maybe they feel a bit ashamed. Saying we think they've done wrong is one thing, start with name calling something else. In my opinion that is.


I've seen screenshots of the other dorms. And not like anyone forced me too. I wanted it. It was a couple of years ago and the dorms don't look the same anymore. So the curiousity I get. I wouldn't do it now though. Or so I think.

That's not a good idea. Just, in general. Giving out your password can be dangerous. From experience, I know that most people use similar passwords for a lot of different accounts. It only takes one malicious "friend" to hack your bank account or something more severe.

As for the dorm thing, I'm pretty happy with Drogyn. I don't really care to see the other dorms.

I didn't even know the other dorms looked different lol I just assumed they were all the same format haha.

But it's not cool to share pwords, everyone should understand that is number one rule of Internet security. With one password who knows what other information that person can gather...and not even that...if your sending someone your password via email or PM who knows maybe hacker is reading those emails and now someone you really don't trust has your information. The Internet is a scary place people, be cautious.

I had no idea such thing is happening. Def throwing the fun out of the window. It damages not only the other dorms, but also the cheaters. It's really too bad for them.
