'She' What's so bad?

I don't know if it's bad or not. I know that it's weird. That one brief shiny-shiny thing on their neck and back was weird. Her conversation with Angel was weird. I feel embarassing when I watch that scene with friends or my parents. 😛

But I love when Wesley and Angel danced. 😀

I honestly think the plot is absolutely horrendous. I think the female character is just completely terrible. I remember hating everything about the episode except for the dancing. No good humor or character beats I can remember. It's my least favorite episode in Angel, and I have been avoiding it, so I don't remember it all that well. I probably need to rewatch it again soon, to make me remember why I hate it so much :lol:

I think the episode starts of promisingly. Angel dancing, the set piece in the museum, Angel giving the talk on the painting, but once the plot kicks in it turns into a bit of a mess. Strange, considering the episode was written by Greenwalt and Noxon who I always considered two very fine writers.

I believe Noxon never went near another Angel episode after this one... I guess she didn't have the 'voice' of the show down all that well?

Some of it's good I concur with the above poster. The house party, the museum part both good. The problem was that they were trying to do some 'sex slavery' thing but they couldn't get the show to hang together at all.

They tried to get cute by couching the whole concept in a cute supernatural blanket and got completely lost. If they wanted to do a story on sex slavery they should have just done it on real life sex slavery and had Angel take down a bunch of human traffickers. Probably would have been awesome, one of the things I liked about S1 of Angel was that on a few occasions they actually just made good old fashioned 'bad people' be the bad guys, oh well.

I didn't particularly hate it (come on, it was season one after all... What's so great about that one for starters?). But I remember thinking the metaphor for cutting clitorises was pretty bad and forced upon us.

I agree. And karma for loving Fred! <3

Bai Ling isn't a very good actress, she grates on my nerves.

Those eh "moments" her character had with Angel were kinda hot though. But not enough to save this DREADful episode.

She was an awful episode, really. I get that season 1 was more a monster of the week type show, but it was just dull and a terrible idea for a story. The only good thing was the comedy scenes.

Def boring, awkward, and yeah she's a terrible actress. If i ever had someone watch angel id have them watch that very first part.... and the credit roll over more dancing lol. Not watching the episode doesn't take away from the season at all.

Well, two reasons for me not liking this episode as much as the others are;

*It has slavery in it. Gives me a icky-feeling.
*Angel's turned on by another female. My inner Bangel-fan(which I'm trying to repress these days) roars.
