What does everyone think Cassie was refering to? I mean, my first theory is that some day Buffy will tell Spike that she loved him... but doesn't that see too obvious for Joss? He likes to throw major curves at us. Maybe she'll tell him that he's pathetic now... or he was better without the soul... or some such thing.

what do you think Cassie meant? ANd is it even Buffy she's talking about?

I think in this case the simplest answer is correct...one day Buffy will tell Spike she loves him. She already seems to have forgiven him. However, as for Joss playing with our heads... Buffy may well say those "three little words' right before she stakes him...Remember Angel's brief sojourn in hell.....::huh1::

I was thinking the same thing. Buffy will tell Spike that she loves him. I could totally see her staking him right after, too. Seems like something Joss would do.

I think you guys are wrong. What "she will tell him one day" is that she forgives him. It has been set up nicely through this episode and the ones before that Spike is rather torn up over his treatment of Buffy. What he seeks from her right now is forgiveness.

Because right now, love is too far out of his league.

I have to agree with Ghost, now that I think about it. But at first I was thinking the same thing as everybody else; she's gonna tell him she loves him. I wasn't really thinking 'oh thats so obvious', but now that you guys brought it up, it's probably not what Buffy will tell Spike. 'Cause, how boring is that?😉

Hrm... the forgiving thing is interesting... and more of a Joss thing that Love. I do agree that what Spike needs is forgiveness... not love.

I think I was being ironic when I said brief...

Also, I know Spike wants to be forgiven, but I don't think Buffy saying the words will be enough for him. He is so convinced that he is a BAD MAN who "hurt the girl", but if she said she loved him , that would definitely get through the self-loathing.

I don't know.. I think Ghost may be right. It does seem like forgiveness is what Spike is looking for right now. But for some reason I get a the feeling she will say she loves him. However, forgiveness is more plausable.

I totally agree with Powerspuff girl! as their sig states - Buffy stated using Spike was killing her. the look in her eyes says it all - she loves him but doesn't think she deserves happiness or with all her problems with Angel that continuing a relationship with him could bring hell. I started squealing when cassie said that line. I cannot wait - however i think she'll say it just before she leaves Sunnydale for good. i don't think she'll stake him.

Hey guys - we just got the ep here in Saskatchewan. Love it 🙂 I was really pondering this line as well and then I thought to myself "self... (haha) ....who says that it's even Buffy she's refering to? What if this has something to do with someone else? Like even Celia/Halfrek...or something?" I don't know...but I can't wait to find out!

i know it´s not a Joss-thing but with a good story it might be ...
maybe she tells him thst she forgives him - and add that she loves him ...
OMG - i want them back together and something make me feel that they will get together again ...
or at least I hope so ..

But i don´t think she will stake him - maybe she will say it right before she wants it to do - but then she´ll tell him and in instant of staking him - she´ll kiss him ....

idon't really think that buffy could ever really love spike the way he wants. she ,may forgivehim, he needs it, but she also needs to say that she needs forgivness from him because of how she treated him. that and perhaps she needs to tell him just how much and in what way she needs him on the team. just a few ideas.

Why should Buffy not be able to love Spike. And as for Casie's "Prophecy" I'm clueless. But it's not that she will admitt her love to him, that would really be to easy and obvious!
