Episode Summary:

Coulson and his team race against Hydra to get to Donnie Gill -- a dangerous gifted with the ability to freeze objects -- while Simmons is caught in the crossfire

Wasn't that the kid in the first season at the SHIELD academy? I haven't seen 2.01 yet, but that's cool they are continuing things set up in the first season.
 
Couldn't find a thread on this episode, so I'll post here to say that I though that this was a good one. Fitz's condition continues to be tragic, and while I thought his attack on Ward was a bit much, I can see why he did it (and Ward did have it coming). Very interesting revelation about Simmons's whereabouts, but it's nice to see that she hasn't changed her personality to fit her new role. And Skye finally sees some real action, though she seems none to happy about it. Finally, nice teaser at the end of the ep about Skye's father; I'm looking forward to it.
 
Finally watched the first 3 episodes of S2. I was like wtf about Simmons working for Hydra but then it all made sense. Fitz is just so heartbreaking to watch but I do like the new black guy (I do not know his name but not Trip) that works with him to try and help him I think it's sweet and what Fitz needs. He needs someone (like Simmons in his mind) to be patient with him and I like that Coulson tells him he is still important to the team. So what's Raina's connection to Skye's father, are they sisters? Did I miss something? Still don't care about Skye but I'm curious to find out who her father is. It was nice that they brought back Donny Gil as a way to show us what Hydra's been doing with these people who have abilities, but I was kind of sad they killed him. I would have loved to see more of his character and the ice powers.

That's a good question, but it looked like he turned into ice as he fell. Not sure if that made him sink more or float. But he was shot so unless he got some help soon then he's probably dead.

Ice floats on water generally speaking, so I think Donny was somehow controlling the ice- i.e he's not dead.

Either that or the writers fail at physics...🙂

That's what I thought, but it looked like he was continuing to sink.
also, perhaps the ice will cryogenically preserve him so that the wound can be treated. Skye only shot him in the shoulder, right? All that needs to happen is for someone to find him, defrost him and patch him up and he should be fine.
