Adrian Pasdar will play Glenn Talbot

The "Heroes" alum will play Glenn Talbot, a "jerk" who causes trouble for Agent Coulson's team of secret agents, Marvel announced Wednesday.

Not content with bringing in Bill Paxton to play Agent Garrett, Marvel's Agents of SHIELD is welcoming another familiar face to the series. Adrian Pasdar has been tapped to play Major Glenn Talbot in at least one episode of the ABC freshman drama.

Talbot is known to comic book fans as one of the many military menaces to the incredible Hulk, and Pasdar told Marvel.com that he'll be equally problematic to Agent Coulson's (Clark Gregg) team of SHIELD agents. "Every show needs a jerk," he said, "I guess I'm that guy."

Agents of SHIELD is far from Pasdar's first project with Marvel. Although he remains best known for his work in Profit and NBC's Heroes, the actor has recently voiced Tony Stark (and his armored alter-ego, Iron Man) for multiple Marvel animated projects including Ultimate Spider-Man, Hulk and the Agents of SMASH and Avengers Assemble.

Currently, Talbot is only officially scheduled for one episode of Agents of SHIELD, but the actor is teasing a return down the line. "As willing as I am to jump when Jeph [Loeb, Marvel TV president] calls, there had to be a little bit more in it than just an episode for me," Pasdar said. "I can't say much more but the mustache is in a locker and it's being taken out and prepped as we speak for next week."

Pasdar's first episode as Glenn Talbot will air in April. A specific date has yet to be determined. Agents of SHIELD airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Patton Oswalt Joins the Team as Agent Eric Koenig

Comedian and "Young Adult" actor calls himself "lucky" to appear in an upcoming episode of the ABC super spy series.

Following the announcement of Adrian Pasdar joining the series as perennial Hulk nemesis Glenn Talbot, Marvel's Agents of SHIELD is adding yet another familiar face to its cast with the news that Patton Oswalt has signed on for a tour of duty with the show.

According to an announcement on Marvel.com, Oswalt will play Agent Eric Koenig in an upcoming episode of the series. Koenig's comic book counterpart was a member of Nick Fury's World War II battalion, the "Howling Commandos," but Oswalt told Marvel.com that he had different hopes for the television incarnation of the character.

"When they first told me the character's name, I'll admit the first thing I did is I went on Wikipedia and looked up the M.O.D.O.K. character to see if Koenig was maybe his name before he became M.O.D.O.K., but it wasn't," the actor joked (Although, let's be honest; Oswalt is hardly the only fan to want to see the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing on either the big or small screen).

Explaining how he got involved in the show, he said "I got a call from my agent saying they want you on Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, and I said "˜hell, yes"¦ I'm lucky that I'm visible enough that they wanted to bring me in to play this character."
Agents of SHIELD returns this Tuesday at 8pm on ABC.

Something about Adrian Pasdar annoys the crap out of me, I have no idea what as he was fine on Heroes and stuff, but there's something in my head that has a negative vibe attatched to him

Patton on the other hand is awesome, his cameo on Parks and Rec was too funny.

For some reason, I always confuse Pasdar with Gabriel Macht from Suits. I have no idea why, because I don't particularly think that they look alike, but something in my head always mixes them up, lol.

I think Pasdar might be good in this role, he has that sort of smarmy, slimy look about him. He'd be good as a jerk - better as a real bad guy, so I hope he gets to come back.

Oswalt I'm less sure of, considering his background. I know SHIELD is a pretty light show, but it's still not a comedy.

All he would need to do is play his early season one Nathan Pettrelli character and he would be good to go
