Does anyone know how to find dates and locations for shoots? I happen to live in Vancouver and while I stumble on various shoots all the time (I live near several locations that get used all the time) It would be nice to actually be there for one I'd like to watch. Thanks.😎

I haven't heard about any yet. But you've got to think they'll be filming on location since Tru's cases always take her loads of different places in every episode.

They film at Lions Gate Studios in North Vancouver (555 Brooksbank Avenue).

It's a big lot, but maybe you could see something? Some times they put up backdrops in parking lots and film right outside their studios or have backlot areas with fake streets setup for example. Usually passers-by can't see anything, but at Sunset-Gower in Hollywood, for example, you can see American Dreams filming in the parking lot all the time.

There's a site called HollywoodNorthReport.com that has information on location filming and a forum that might eventually have information. But they're more obsessed with movies filming than tv. I've posted on there already about TC. Recently one person reported some location filming in Vancouver and the admin brushed it off as only being the new UPN show Jake 2.0. All they seem to care about is Will Smith's movie I Robot and things like that. But Eliza's a bigger star so hopefully we can get that site to start showing interest in finding TC location shoots in advance.

I really want to go up to Vancouver this fall on vacation. I love British Columbia and it'd be great if I could see some TC location shoot.

Attention anyone in Vancouver: There will be a location shoot for Tru Calling tomorrow.

Excellent. I'm going downtown to the movies tonight anyways, I guess I'll stroll over to Cordova and see what if I can see anything.

Well I went down to the Cordova location before the movie to scout it out (right where it was supposed to be, just a half block up from the Canadian Pacific Railway building) and got there at 6:20. There were a couple of trucks and a whole herd of people with radios clipped onto their person and a few without radios I assume were actors though the only one I recognized was Jessica Collins. I thought they were just getting ready to set up since there were no cameras, lights or equipment out and everyone seemed to be relaxing and drinking coffee but when I got back after the movie a little after 9:00 everyone was gone so I think shooting there was earlier and what I saw was them in the final stage of wrapping up. Either that or it was a VERY short shoot since judging by the x-files shoots I've seen it takes a long time to set up and even a single scene can take several hours to shoot. Ah well, maybe I'll have better luck next time.

More from HNR. Morpheus posts:

They're shooting Tru Calling right now around Alberni and Bute Street. I couldn't figure out where the actual set was (the crew members weren't overly friendly), but the trucks are parked in the alley between Alberni and Robson Street, and the crew is hanging out on Bute
