Can anyone suggest some 20-30 minute comedies to check out? I like to have some on my phone to watch during my lunch break at work. I'll get the ball rolling with a series that everyone should try if they haven't already and that's Rick and Morty.

You are lucky that you have enough space on your phone for multiple comedy episodes, my "smartphone" (which seems to be quite stupid) causes me trouble when I watch a 2 minute long video on it :(
You mean like a new comedy series?
I've been trying to find some myself as of late and was told about 'Brooklyn Nine Nine'- which is a pretty good comedy cop show.

A few British ones that are really funny: 'Spaced', 'Black Books' and 'Peep Show'- which last I checked were all available for free from Channel 4's website.

I like:
The New Adventures of Old Christine
Will and Grace
Modern Family

I also like Big Bang Theory, but not as into it as I used to be.

Yeah I'm looking for new ones really. I figure there must be some gems out there that I haven't necessarily heard of. When I was looking before I found Rick and Morty which is great and bobs burgers which I didn't like.

If you liked Father Ted you might want to try 'Moone Boy' which has the same line in humour- it's extremely funny. 🙂

Never heard of it. I'll give it a look
Father Ted is brilliant, it's a shame it was so short lived... well, saying that-quality over quantity I suppose.
Hmm, newer comedies... ever watched Not Going Out? It's finished recently, but there are 7 seasons and I really liked it.

Yeah there's something to be said for short and sweet. I did enjoy Not going out but stopped watching somewhere in the middle. Are the later series worth catching up with?

I think so, the first 4 seasons are definitely the best, but most of the later ones are still enjoyable and have some great laughs. The only one I thought was pretty poor was s6, but they managed to pick it back up for the final season.

@Smile Time that sucks. What phone do you have? Shouldn't be too difficult to play videos on any recent phone. Just need a memory card and media player. Have you tried vlc player?

@The Bronze I use a Sony, most of the space on my memory card is used for whatsapp and pre-installed programs that I am not able to remove or move to internal storage.

Back to the topic of the thread, I can't really 'recommend' comedies other than Friends, since that's the only comedy that I seem to like 😛 (and I only watch that occasionally).

@Smile Time mines a Sony as well. I think it's great. Bigger memory card and vlc player and it should be fine.

I always found friends just ok. Everyone seemed to crazy for it but I just thought it was very plain.

How about Inlightened with Laura Dern? The homour is a bit bleak in places, but still funny and moving and the acting really good too. Also, the new Tina Fey comedy The Unbreakable Kimmy Scmhidt (think I have the title right?) that is on Netflix, and then theres other british ones like Rev and The Thick of It. Not sure if you've seen those if not their both really good.

My choice for best half-hour comedy ever? WKRP in Cincinnati. Four seasons of great comedy created by Hugh Wilson and based on his time working at WQXI (AM) in Atlanta. Check out Season 1 Episode 7 "Turkeys Away" - it actually was based on an event at WQXI.

The Office US is a lot funnier than I thought it would be. I became quite attached to the characters by the time it ended.

Also, Trailer Park Boys is a good laugh, pretty mental though.

Delocated, from Adult Swim, is worth a mention. As is Louie.
