I always thought it was odd that they tried to keep the Buffy bot to do the job when faith was stiill an active slayer. Granted they were all probably under the impression she was still crazy, but at the same time I'm sure Buffy explained what she did by turning herself in & I'm sure shed be ready to help fight the good fight

Without looking towards the aspects if she could have been in the season or not(from the story I mean) ,I think that there would be some interesting episodes with her. She and Buffy that't an interesting relationship. so yes she should appear in this season.

She couldn't have, since she was in prison, but I don't think it would have worked anyway. She wasn't rehabilitated yet and probably would have just gone wild again. She has issues to work through before she can try to be the Slayer again.

Yeah, like everyone else said she wouldn't have gotten any support from the Scoobies. I felt they handled things the best way possible by putting her on Season 4 of Angel first, and then back to Buffy during season 7

Yes your right...but has she to be the good one can't she be evil again?

I think just from a writing perspective she could be at a point of rehabilitation by now. I thought about how they used the Buffy bot & it seemed weird that they didn't really touch on the future of the council. They had one slayer dead & another in jail. Its kind of implied that Faith is the active slayer & only her death cold trigger another activation so The Council was kind of screwed.

Assuming that Giles could have somehow arranged for Faith's parole into his custody, another thing to consider is that, if the Watchers' Council found out that Buffy was mysteriously missing and Faith was back in Sunnydale, they would have put 2 and 2 together and decided that Buffy was, indeed, dead. Once they became aware of that, the Council would have almost certainly sent another wet team to take Faith out so that they could have a new, hopefully more controllable Slayer called.

I'm not saying that Faith's safety was at the top of the Scoobies' priorities, but it could have certainly been a factor to consider.

Ooo, I wouldn't have thought of that.
I think im more inclined to agree with the stance that the longer it was left for her to come back, the more believable it was that she was properly rehabilitated. We see her at the end of Sanctuary (in AtS) smiling, at peace with what she must do. Although one whole season and a half went by by the time Season 6 came around, to have her return in Season 7 for the final battle, finally a chance to grow from that passive redemption in prison to an active redemption in action is fitting for the closing season. Though yes, like Enemies any chance to see Faith would have been incredible for me from a selfish persepective because I love Faith so much haaa But from a story development standpoint, I think it made sense for the Season 7 return.

🙂

I think Faith in season 6 would have some real possibilities, I think that one of Faith's problems was that she was constantly being compared to Buffy and so I think she was kind of envious of Buffy and that was the reason she so readily went dark. I think she would very much enjoy being the only Slayer and the hero, yet when Buffy is resurrected I think this might have sent Faith into a tale spin, wondering when she would ever really get her chance to shine.

I don't think any of the Scoobies would have even considered it a real option to bring Faith to Sunnydale in the wake of Buffy's death. And I agree that Faith still had a lot of issues, and I don't think anyone in Sunnydale would have been willing or able to help her work through those.

I do think, given what happened between them in Season 8, that it would have been awesome to see her come back and Giles mentor her a little bit, or at least try to reach out to her.

No. Unless the gang makes frequent visits to her prison cell...for some reason. I liked the way that she was brought back in Angel. The fact that she could have obviously broken out whenever she wanted to, but chose to keep herself contained, was great.

I love Faith, she's my favorite character and I would have loved to see her in this season but I dont think she would have fit well into the storyline.

I don't know, I think she was rehabilitated before she went to jail and felt jail was her way of doing penance. I mean, not much time passed before she broke herself out. It was like she wasn't in there for even a year!
I think she should have been in season 6 or it should've been addressed why she didn't show up, etc. I did wonder why it didn't happen. I think it would've been cool to see.

If she wasn't in prison, I don't think she even could have been written in this season...I think this season was awesomeon its own with out adding her. 🙂

I do love S6 the way it is, so I agree, it's a good what if? though :)

I agree about the penance, which is why she turned herself in and stayed as long as she did. Now, I haven't seen all of AtS, so if something happened on that side I don't know about it, but it was my understanding that Faith broke out because she was needed to fight the First. I'm guessing she would have stayed if she wasn't needed.

watch AtS S4, you'll see the real reason she broke out - an awesome arc :)
