I wanted to read all the extra comic books of Buffy in order (not season 8 or 9). So I found this list of all the books, it states the first one is 'Wu Tang Fang' and can be found in 'Remaining Sunlight' (which I own) the next 2 are also in this book, then it says the next one is in a book called 'Uninvited guests' etc etc But then if you scroll right down to the bottom, there's a section that states that each comic book is set in a different series of Buffy, like some take place in season 1, 2 etc and 'Remaining Sunlight' doesn't make an appearence until season 3! Arrghh lol So in fact I'm reading them totally out of order!! Does this mean that they decided to do a season 1 comic series after they did a season 3 one?? 😕

Also when I go to the season 1 section, it says it starts with a graphic novel called the Origin, now to me that sounds like one book but oh no! I click on it and it's actually 3 different books!! My god, gonna need to start saving if they're all like this! lol

The Origins is the first one, and if memory serves me, you can buy all 3 in 1 book.

I hear you about needing to save to get all the Buffy comics and books, not to mention the time to read them all! But it's a must for fans like you and I.

I'd be interested to hear back from you if you find, or make, a comic chronology list!

Best of luck!

Those Omnibus' books have all the comics, though I am not sure if they are in order. They might be the way to go if you are wanting to read all the comics. I think they might be in published order, not story order, but I could be wrong.

The omnibus books vol 1-7 contains all comics pre-Tales of the slayers/vampires, so they're the way to go. I'm pretty sure they's collecting the stories chronologically, which means the one shots and such are put in their place in between the ongoing series(that does not sound like proper English, I hope you understood.)

Just buy the Buffy Omnibuses, then the Angel ones. Then there's the hardcover named Tales with all Tales of the slayers and Tales of the vampires comics. By then you've read almost all the pre-season 8 Dark Horse Buffyverse comics(some weren't collected in trades and are very hard to find, then there's this short story that might be nice to read).

Also, Taake, maybe move this to Comics?
