I was out with some friends last night, whom i've not seen in a while, and one of them (fully backed by the others) said that i've turned into the female version of Colin Farrell. I drink too much Guiness, smoke too much and swear too much. Sadly I don't have his looks, charms or money.

And it got me thinking...is this a good thing, or should I perhaps start to revise my habits?

Hmmm....Maybe you should cut back on smoking, swearing and drinking just a little bit. But dont change yourself competely. I'm sure your a great person 🙂

swearing really depends on what crowd you are with. But on the other hand, it doesn't hurt in the swearing crowds to swear a little less, so not swearing is a good generic habit to get into. Besides, if you save up your swears for when they are really important, they are alot more powerful.

Drinking is good as long as it isn't habitual, I think. Nothing wrong with partying once in a while, as long as you're still in control of the timing.

As for smoking, I think we all know it is good to quit, but cutting down isn't supposed to be effective, from what I understand. Either you take bigger drags or whatever, or you binge later on, from what I've been told (and from personal experience as well). Still, it's hella hard to quit, so I wouldn't dream of suggesting you quit before you are ready to.

I can't tell, you're not exactly the type that opens up in most personal threads in Caritas, so it's hard to tell how you are in real life? Maybe you can give us a little background info.

Still; smoking and drinking is always bad, so you shouldn't do it anyway!

Thats true, i've been wary in the past about giving info out on the net, and only trust a few people, but i'm getting there. So I guess thats why I may appear more straight laced because although I read a lot of the personal threads I don't really participate in them.

Ok background I tend to go through spates of going out, because i'm either studying or working, or on the net I don't get up much, so when i'm doing uni stuff I tend to have a couple of beers, and when I get the chance to go out, its normally like 3 days in a row, and I get in at 4am in the morning, but the thing is I don't get drunk easily, so i'm pretty sober.

The smoking, I quit for a year when I took a year off uni and I didn't have a problem with it, no withdrawls or anything. But when I went back to uni I started again, and as my exams have just finished I was smoking a lot more because I was so stressed.

That enough background info for you 😉

Faith, I know how much work you do. So, if you are living it up for 3 days out of the week...I say yay you!!

I'd rather regret things I've done rather than not done. If your enjoying yourself, keep doing what your doing.

But I think you should cut back on smoking....only because I care 😉

Are you happy? Think about it... do you want to cut back on any of that stuff?... are you worried about your health? If not, then don't change.
