Should i buy at this price?

Myself and my brother have been wanting to by all the Angel comics since we've fished watching the series. Only yesterday did my borther have time to go into the local comic shop and ask if they had any issues. Form what i can gather from him the man did have angel but he had it in on hardback book thing? and had all the issues up to 17 at 4:99 each. He said we could by the book thing for 16:99 but i was thinking that really cheap for 17 issues!
Do you think it is the 17 issues or just one volume?

The hardcover collects issues 1-5 which are priced at 4.99 each, so that should make the HC worth 25, instead it's 17.99. So it's cheaper. If that's what you're asking. A second HC collecting 6-9 is also out. The third one (dunno what issues it collects yet) will be out in March. And presumably there'll be a final one in fall of 2009.
