Should I watch "Dollhouse"?

Dollhouse is definitely different than Buffy (and Angel and Firefly!), but what good is a show if it's only a ripoff of another? The only real trouble I had with Dollhouse was it's lack of Joss' signature wit! ...but he's definitely displayed his ability to write all over the place (in the good way!) in this, and I really appreciate that. But hey! If you really just want a Buffy continuation, you can do what I did and pretend Faith has come to the Dollhouse and had her personality wiped. XD To be quite honest, I think Eliza plays Faith well... over and over again. 😛 Everything I've seen her in, actually, shows her as the same character-type, this hot "independent" not-so-girly girl who has a sort of rocky past, etc etc... Don't get me wrong, I love it! I LOVE Faith, so I'm content with the fact that Eliza always plays the same character. 🙂 HOWEVER, much like in Buffy and Angel, the main character isn't who keeps the show worth watching. The other actors/characters in this are *brilliant*! This show definitely lets you think... decide what you think is right and wrong... with quite a bit of 'gray area'. Definitely a good 'debate' topic. 😛
My husband is huge into philosophy, so Dollhouse is actually his favorite Joss show (and we met and married because of Firefly, so that says a lot!).
We're waiting on a pretty awesome Dollhouse prop right now... We're very anxious for its arrival! When it gets here, we are definitely planning a rewatch... We should all do a Dollhouse watch together and discuss its inner-workings one episode at a time (like folks on here do the Buffy watches)! XD
 
i'm trying to rewatch this too (sort of on a Whedon rewatch kick now that the currently airing shows are about to go off the air for the summer). as i recall, there are definitely high points and the show does get better as it goes along but these early episodes are still a chore to sit through this time around.
